…because nobody cares.
I pirate because I wanted to watch across the spider-verse. PSA you don’t need to justify your decision to pirate something, you’re allowed to just do it without taking a stand for or against something.
I’m all of the above.
I’m a bitch I’m a lover I’m a child I’m a mother I’m a sinner I’m a saint I do not feel ashamed.
If you share an ISP with a conservative (roomates), and the ISP sends you mail because you forgot your VPN, they will scream at you like you stole a car, and they’re harboring a fugitive.
Well, I guess the only solution is to steal their car and dump it in the local flooded quarry.
I’ll give you something to cry about.
I pirate because I live in the third world 💀
*hats off
I pirate because media that comes from the rest of the world is hard to find in the USA, because they prioritize US media.
Y’all make great content, too. I often wish I had more legal avenues to get the stuff and pay the artists involved!
EDIT: I’m looking straight the fuck at you BBC
Nobody cares and it doesn’t matter at all, but I used to be a prolific pirate when I was a teenager and in my early 20s. As I got older and had more money, I started paying for everything. I wanted to support and pay for the things that I liked. Over time, entertainment has become so costly and so inconvenient, and older media is harder and harder to access, so I threw up my hands and started pirating again. Not everything, I still pay for games and a streaming service or two, but I’m back to piracy all the same.
🫡 piece of shit reporting here
Hi. Is this the line for pieces of shit?
I pirate because fuck them corporations
I pirate because media companies tried to brand sharing as something other than caring.
They always do that. Do you remember /r/RandomActsofPizza on reddit circa like 2010 or something?
Within a year of “Feel Good” news articles showing up about that sub, Mars had copyrighted the phrase “Random Acts of Chocolate” and ran an ad campaign based on “buy one for a friend” trying to sell more chocolate.
Jesus Christ its been a decade and it still pisses me the fuck off that every unmitigated good social thing that happens is immediately used by corporations in weak attempts to exploit social good for profits.
