Unless the improved quality would result directly in increased profit for Reddit Inc., I don’t see why they would bother paying for a service that people will FIGHT to do for free. If you sacked every single mod on Reddit today, most of them would be replaced within a day by more power-hungry individuals that will mod endless content for a simple ego boost.

None of these seem apolitical to me. I would associate most of these with right wing philosophies. I was specifically looking for examples of apolitical dog-whistles.

One thing that shouldn’t be ignored is most UBI proposals remove the current means-based welfare in the USA. So, as many people go on the UBI list, many others would disappear off the welfare lists, which means there probably wouldn’t be as much disruption as you are expecting. If the UBI is implemented as a negative income tax, some people’s net may change even less.

How would one ever discover that a given podcaster is right wing if they are apolitical?

Clickbait is easy, investigative journalism takes brains, effort and integrity, all of which are lacking in today’s media organizations.

I prefer talking about the specific way they behave Nazi-like vs just throwing out “NAZI” as a drive-by insult. We learn nothing that way and it’s not factually accurate.
