Not sure why you’re citing US law when we’re discussing foreign govts. Also the obvious thing signal can do, that most complainants would probably expect as a minimum, is banning their accounts and closing the group.

I don’t get what you’re trying to say at all. If a party is in a group chat and reports it, they can provide their credentials to Signal to enable Signal to view the contents of the chat.
Yes, they’re a carrier that does not know the content of what they carry. But once they are made aware, the legal system considers them to now bear responsibility if they don’t take action. Whether or not that’s fair is a pretty large topic, though I’m inclined to think so myself.
Funny how the .ml admins are so opposed to free speech on their own server, then.
Yes, but we’re discussing group chats disseminating piracy links. Do you think it’s harder to join such a group chat and report it to signal than it is to do all the cloak and dagger nonsense?
In a group chat, M wouldn’t be a 3rd party.
Shame it’s only THEIR children they give a damn about
Yeah, not accusing him of bad faith, just guessing he didn’t read the article.
Not really. It mentions that Finland is a very low immigration country, but it doesn’t state whether the benefits apply to migrants, legal or illegal
The program is also beneficial from an economic point of view, says Kahila. Since the beginning of the program, Housing First has found an apartment for 60 percent of Finland’s homeless population. Since 2012, the state has calculated that it has saved almost 32 million euros annually as a result, with most of that savings coming in the healthcare sector. “Hardly any other country can present such positive statistics,” says Kahila.
Unless you’re against universal healthcare, this doesn’t seem to be costing the state money.
Eh, it’s pretty common in a lot of other countries as well. Those with significant Muslim populations, and even countries like Norway.
The sudden compression would blow up pretty much everything in existence. Possibly even some black holes.
It was very common in Thailand and Malaysia while I lived there to hear parents and relatives say their child was ‘sexy’.
Can confirm it still is
I would make the argument that wishing people would hurry up and die of old age is not actually advocating violence per se
Scandinavia says ‘Hi, we found a middle ground!’
We can see what happens at low energy densities, I’m not sure why you think it’s a mystery.
The corollary of “there is no lesser evil”, is “there is no greater evil”. You’re saying that there is absolutely no crime that could be committed that would be worse? Like, say, genocide AND a descent into fascism? Maybe flavored with a nice sprinkling of loss of women’s rights?
Weirdness. Anyway, kudos for being one of the few people actively supporting FOSS monetarily!
Now you’re faced with that old dilemma: to pay or not to pay. (Yes, you may face this very dilemma reading this story in The Atlantic.)
At least they’re self aware.

I almost got banned over there just for asking that
Huh. Why, what was the reasoning there?
Infamous implies somebody is famous in a negative way. If anything, Gabe is a shining example that should be upheld.
