Lol… the fact that they are saying they “won”.
I think no one expected Reddit to just fold in a month, if that was their terms for “winning” then… congratulations?
For a social media giant such as Reddit, it takes years to come down, just like it took years to get where it was. However, the seeds are sown, and for every decision that only benefits their pockets and not the user, they creep closer to that reality of their own demise.
Insulin is worse though because it’s not like it’s a drug that had to be developed and has a billion dollars or more to develop. The case with insulin is blatant price gouging.
This pill, this doesn’t mean it should be as cheap as insulin as the two drugs aren’t equals. It can be priced fairly and still be expensive, we don’t know the economics behind it. Being cheap =/= fair pricing all the time. Like buying a better product that took more to make.
This could still be outrageously priced obviously, but comparing it to insulin is apples to oranges.
Heard about this on the radio yesterday, and looked into it further as we hear about “cancer curing pills” all the time and they usually are nothing. This one does seem to have traction however IF it can make it through human trials. So obviously could mean nothing if it doesn’t pass this phase, and it will be there a long time, but this is very promising news.
Rome wasn’t built in a day
I have some people here telling me I’m a leftist, and others right.
Guess that kind of proves my point I’m not really left or right
I said I wasn’t left or right, that’s it
Well, didn’t I say I was neither left or right?
Not really, some of those things yes but others no.
I’m not making an excuse, I gave you my opinion on why it is the way it is and why politics in the US are screwed up.
The other element is not all Democrat politicians are the same the same way not all Republican ones are either.
The problem is there is constantly less moderation in political positions in both parties. But if you think Presidents like Eisenhower and Trump are exactly the same just because they are Republicans, or Senator Masto vs Pelosi just because they are Democrats you’re being ignorant.
The world isn’t black and white either
The Nazi thing is extreme, but I get what you are saying.
I’m also not disagreeing with your overall message but it’s my opinion on why the current political scope in the US is the way it is.
I vote for certain stances in a candidate, and how they prioritize them as a rough guide on how I vote. It also depends on what office I’m voting for too, as well as what level of government.
That may be the way you see it, but I don’t.
I suppose this is where you call me a Nazi because I disagree with you?
Why, because most people vote for a party and side with a party, not issues.
I’m not saying that’s right, in fact I feel the exact opposite. That’s just my observation of the world we live in in why that disconnect exists.
With the left or the right?
A few things I side with: universal healthcare, reduced military spending, gay rights, legalization of marijuana, gun rights, reduced government spending in the business sector, reducing/overhauling the current farm bill, increased infrastructure spending.
Since you need to know? I said that because that’s how the person I was replying to put it, not me.
And on the flip side a CEO can improve and expand many people’s careers and therefore wealth.
A dictatorship like Mao Zedong, Mussolini, Hitler, etc can flow all the wealth and power to themselves, oppressing the people under them.
The point it: You can’t talk about best case scenario of one and not the other. Usually, as it’s human nature, both are going to sequester wealth and power for themselves over the people under them, but a bad dictatorship is leagues worse than a bad company/CEO.
