I wish communities would start banning that bot. It’s summaries are mostly awful, typically missing critical details in an article to the point of completely altering itsintent.
This example is particularly egregious though, I think it had a stroke.
He’s actually right about this one despite the down votes. Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are electric vehicles that use elective motors not engines so there are no oil changes.
The difference is that a fuel cell vehicle captures electrons during the reaction that takes place when hydrogen is exposed to oxygen (they bond to from H2O) rather than storing energy in batteries.
So battery electric vehicles store their energy in a battery while fuel cell electric vehicles store it in the form of hydrogen but ultimately electricity is was powers both of them.
I don’t know what provoked the OP’s comment. I just wanted to add context because I personally made a lot of bad assumptions from it before reading the article.
Also I don’t know that your statement is accurate and global warming is never brought up in the article.
They don’t know why the ozone hole is big this year but they suspect it may be related to a volcanic eruption. Article concludes that scientists expect the ozone layer to be back to normal by 2050.
The suggestion is that this is an unusual year for the ozone layer which sees the hole expand this time every year before retracting again by December. They never suggest human behavior is damaging it again.

I did enjoy the reaction that my original comment got but only because the comment wasn’t intended to stir up controversy or invoke a strong reaction but clearly has.
I was contributing to a conversation with a comment that I feel was quite harmless. I didn’t know free speech absolutism was such a feather rustling topic.
What’s sad is you being mean to a person for simply making a comment on a social media platform.
No I don’t personally believe in absolute free speech I was just trying to offer perspective in response to a comment that was rejecting the concept outright.
I do enjoy the rise it got out of this audience though.
The concept of absolute freedom of speech is based on lessons learned in history and even the present. As soon as you start limiting speech you have to draw a line and nobody can agree on where that line should be. The real issue however, is that it’s ultimately government that decides.
A government that can limit few speech gets to decide what acceptable speech is and that’s a dangerous power in the hands of the wrong people.
There’s definitely consequences to unhinderred free speech but I think history shows us that the alternative is worse.
Nobody is coming after you, don’t worry about it. If they were really determined? Maybe, possibly, depending on many factors but you’re a very small fish in a very big pond.
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out that’s for sure. Every time I drive by a rest stop on the highway I imagine what the gas lines would look like if those people were instead lining up to spend 20+ minutes minimum at a charging station.
Even if you put a charger in every parking space it would likely be a problem. Those lots fill up as it is and I can’t even fathom the electrical feeds required for that.
I think the people saying “oh it’s just electricity we already have that” are a bit dilusional. It’s going to require enormous investment into infrastructure and even then it may not be feasible.
I think it’s one of those things that seems great when only a handful of people are doing it but will become a nightmare as more EVs end up on the road.
Its great for those who have a dedicated place to park their car, can charge at home and only commute a short distance back and forth to work but it falls short for many.
The XLE does 410 miles. Few electric vehicle can touch that and EV ranges decline over time so almost no EV that’s more than a couple years old could match it.
Where does all of the anti hydrogen rhetoric come from? Hydrogen has its issues for sure but so does electric. Hydrogen has advantages to electric, namely range and refueling time, which may make it a better choice, at least for certain applications.
What’s so horrible about Toyota investing in it? At least someone is giving it a shot and they actually have a production automobile that uses it.
Here we are going all in on electric with a grid that can’t support it, charging times that are too slow, driving range that’s too low and housing that can’t accommodate it but hydrogen is somehow a crazy idea?
Having query logging enabled on a production database is bonkers. The duplicate deletes are too but query logging is intended for troubleshooting only. It kills performance.
Those features are what bring in revenue and I don’t blame them for trying to be profitable. You can only get so far on lifetime subscriptions.
As long as they don’t abandon the core product so I can continue using it as the awesome media server that it is I have no complaints. They can add all the additional features they want.
DVR, commercial skip, intro and credit detection, plexpy etc… are all awesome features which have been added in the last 5 years or so and enhance the core product.
Vanilla bean is one. A lot of the people who produce it don’t really understand why we want it.
