Because we adore being different and difficult just for the hell of it.

I think what upsets me the most is that people refuse to learn from past mistakes.

It wasn’t ever intend as a competition either. If they’re feeling overwhelmed and want to separate from big instances for a while, then they should be able to. Everyone’s taking it super personal when it’s not meant to be.

Agreed! Lemmy kinda captures the same sense of excitement and experimentation that the early internet seemed to have.

Especially with the massive influx of users on this instance. I for one am quite happy with the admins and how they’re holding up during this. lol
