Phone text, in general, is interesting on psychedelics. For me, text just turns into an incomprehensible squiggles that look kind of like letters but absolutely aren’t. Things that look dull usually tend to stay that way during a trip. Bright colors and tie-die are awesome though.
Edit in some Chinese subtitles and the shadow of a front row of people and you can make it really look like an authentic rip.
The devs info is in this post: https://lemmy.ca/post/2614066 . There is a link to “send him a coffee”. I don’t need the cash, so give my $5 to them. ;)
I use Connect and it is the closest thing to RIF. Over the last few weeks the app has improved a ton.
The title summarized it much better. However, you are still a good bot.
It literally hijacks my webcam, takes pictures of me nude and uses AI to put me in a room sharing crack pipes with lady-boy hookers.
Also, it will occasionally change all of my emails into haikus, but that is fairly benign.
I can’t wait for Disney to lay the smack down on “X”.
Marketing can be done by anyone. :) All it takes is a little passion and excitement when telling someone else about something you enjoy.
Professional marketers can bring lots of skills to the table but nothing beats a good old fashioned testimonial.
I installed Overwatch 2, played it for 30 mins and uninstalled it. It’s a shame. Overwatch 1 was awesome.
It was great until they started “balancing” it.
Diablo 4 was looking great for a bit. Of course they aren’t fixing some known bugs (resistance) in all the recent patches. The grind was looking OK but they just nerfed the hell out of XP, which probably doubles it’s time and makes their “open world” completely useless. Don’t worry though, they did approximately double the drop rate of trash as well. Yay!
Blizzard is getting really good at shooting themselves in the foot.
You get square beer.
Not to show off, but my first computer chat was on a C64 over packet radio. BBS internet gateways were a thing too and had a few chats over those as well.
I made the mistake of poking my head into /c/communism the other day. If you have a constructive opinion about something, speak up and join the chat over there! You will soon learn that you are a fascist baby killer as well, regardless of who you actually are.
It was a breath of fresh air, lemmie tell ya.
Fuck spez.
There. Just had to get that last drop out. ;)
That is kinda what I was hinting at. If we define pain as something that causes a defensive (or similar) reaction, then sure: Plants react to “pain” in their own way. I have never seen a jellyfish react to “pain” though.
When my chinchilla starts barking, it’s easy to assume that he is in pain or otherwise uncomfortable, but to say that he is truly in pain is impossible. However, when animals hurt their foot and start limping, it’s a good theory that they are reacting to pain. My examples only include mammals though, to your point.
Excuse my rambling. I am not disagreeing with you, but just thinking out loud.
We may be able to tell if they are stressed, which could be related to pain, depending on your viewpoint.
Here is a recent study of audible reactions plant can have to stress: https://www.cell.com/cell/fulltext/S0092-8674(23)00262-3
Do plants react to stress and harmful situations like infestation? Absolutely. Do they actually feel pain as we understand it? Probably not since they lack a nervous system.
This boils down to the question: What is pain?
