Agreed. Trying to find answers for questions probably already asked on Discord is impossible.

I’m not colorblind and see 74, but I can see how it can be read as 21. The bottom part of 2 is a less saturated orange.
I think the admins deliberately chose not to censor “fuck spez” because it makes people think they are a free platform
thankfully Chinese has always had a singular they, “他.”
for your convenience:
by the way, 他 used to be he, she, or sing. they. the usage of 她 as she and 妳 as you (for females) is relatively recent. even now, you could replace all the ones with a “女” on its left with its “亻” counterpart and no one will say a thing. they are also pronounced identically.
I’m pretty sure plenty of singular theys have been invented in your language. It’s just that it’s not widely used at all and people would never understand you if you try to use it in a sentence.
Sorry, I think my comment was worded poorly. What I tried to say was simply that Lemmy is indeed a lot more leftist than the average social network. Not that this is bad.
but we need lemmy to grow! I would say that the benefits on Lemmy growing outweighs a few members being “bad.” (couldn’t think of a better word)
I love how it’s kind of anti-aliased with the gray pixels
Thank you!
I agree. As a person who considers himself left-leaning, being on reddit makes me feel like a right winger
I hope this doesn’t sound rude, but if you don’t like snaps, you should switch to another distro.
ps. I don’t like snaps either
r/savethirdpartyapps is banned. r/save3rdparty apps is not.
source: just checked it myself
I know right! I often get more than 5 upvotes here, while on Reddit most of my comments would have only gotten 2, maybe 3.
I get your concern about this meme being racist, but not everything is about race. The stock photo of two adults passing a baby and the picture from a cartoon depicting a woman throwing a baby just so happened to be of different races. IMO that’s not racist.

paging received! thanks
edit: Just did my part!
Thank you. I read your comment. Leaving reddit certainly is a great way of protest, but it would mean nothing if only less than 1% left.
BTW I’m also curious whether there’s a way to link to a comment that upon clicking brings the user to the comment on their instance, or if there’s something you can do to find the same comment that is on another instance without searching it on your own instance.
not quite pertinent but you can have a gif as your avatar?
Calm down. All I’m saying is that if the Fediverse wants to succeed and actually beat Reddit, Discord, and Twitter, we need to have more than Linux users (I am too) on our platforms.
Not to defend Twitter, but if by “dead” you mean “dying,” well yes, gradually. If you actually meant dead “dead,” not really.
