Not much of a problem with that ticket. You can just take alternative routes.

I recently travelled to cologne by train using only the €49 ticket. Should’ve taken 15h but due to delays it took 17h. Had to change teains like 6 or 7 times… maybe not the best way to travel through germany. The same route takes about 6h using a direct ICE connection.

I just tried it as I was intrigued, but it didn’t go so well.
The first thing it did was complain about not being able to connect to its notifications server, so I couldn’t enable notifications… even looked into the app permissions and there was nothing preventing it from pushing notifications.
Then I wanted to see which OSS was used and that link didn’t work. (possible license violation?)
After that I wanted to try the mode where you can communicate locally through BLE and all that. Enabling that feature causes the app to just crash when opening it.

yeah… I think this exactly the kind of stuff that annoys people and discourages people to join. Now that they moved here they get told they did it wrong because they chose the wrong instance… despite everyone first saying it doesn’t matter and you shouldn’t think too hard about your choice because “federation, yay!”
