  • It’s just a movie, relax.

Staphylococcus kills thousands of people every year, this is a good thing.

We have PLENTY of negative places you could go here on Lemmy that really really hate all things futurism and technology, please try to save your dooomerism for those places, we just literally don’t have many positive spaces left and it’s so frustrating to come from the good news of the article only to see silly comments like yours that make it seem like we are all going to die because AI found a way to help us.

Is that what it’s saying in the bill though?

I could be wrong but it literally looks like he just wants to make it illegal to FUND the act of calling people their preferred pronouns, as in, not allow internal PSA’s to be made telling people they CAN do it.

It doesn’t appear to have any teeth or weight to prevent people from still respecting it if they want to.

It’s attempting to block a problem that doesn’t exist.

So he just wants to stop the federal government from enforcing pronouns or aliases in government settings…?

When does the government actually FORCE or ENFORCE pronoun usage though, using government money?

Am I taking crazy pills or is he just making shit up?

*Just wanted to say I appreciate all the people replying, the implications of his bill may be more severe than I initially read into it.

  • I agree with all of that but the issue is between the governments and the manufacturers both seeming to want the other to roll out the upgraded infrastructure, it puts hydrogen in a chicken and an egg situation of us waiting to see which comes first, the cars or the chargers.

At least with electric you simply need to swap out the sources at the ground level to something cleaner(something we’re doing anyways), and you can safely plug in anywhere.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea of hydrogen, but as a scientist, it’s the implementation that has me worried.

  • In particular, people with ASD have a greater tendency to wander - that is, they may leave a safe area in search of a retreat away from overstimulation (eg, crowds, noise or other stimuli) and may naturally gravitate towards water as a means of alleviating their sensory needs but without understanding the risks

    Holy shit that’s dark.
