But how are you supposed to know it’s an avocado if it’s not laser etched??? /s
Damn, that’s a deep cut.
Should never rely on a safety for that, though a gun in a proper holster should be impossible to discharge.
Guns should never be tucked into a waistband without a proper holster.
Saw a neat ESP32 IR blaster on sparkfun. Might try to set it up to control some LED string lights.
Read the article again. Japan has a slower economic growth than the world average.
This is from a number of factors, including that they are a highly developed economy with less head room, BUT also because the workforce is aging out. They have fewer young people.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Japan
They have a declining population, and the median age is much older than most countries. This is absolutely a major reason for their lack of economic growth.
Immigration, and change the work culture to reduce the amount of time at your job.
Japan needs people, and they’re not having babies.
They need time to socialize, they need time to relax, they need time to just exist outside of a job.
When do you test though, the drugs are out of their system by the event date. They can use it for years leading up to the competition to build up their performance, and then taper off long before and still have an advantage.
3m command adhesive has been pretty good for me on things like this if you need it to be up for a little longer.
I know other people haven’t had good luck, but it seems to work for me.
Still great for grid storage. Save the higher density stuff for cars, trucks, and space.
It’s cool stuff, BUT it’s still an artists rendition. It’s not fact.
Edutainment science is great, but when they pretend “This is what she looked like”, it’s bullshit. Then when someone comes back later and says “No, THIS is what she looked like” people get all confused and think science is dumb.
When you see interviews with the best science communicators, they always phrase it like “We used the best models we have, and we are confident that this is an accurate representation based on our current information” THAT would be a great sub-headline.
I just hate it when the news gets watered down to show an artists representation, no matter how good, as fact instead of probability.
Fixed: One artists rendition of the way a neanderthal woman may have looked based on some research and measurements from a partially destroyed, but reconstructed skull… for a Netflix edutainment show.

Every day tons of material comes into the earth’s atmosphere. We do lose part of our atmosphere because of solar winds though.
This is one of those scenarios that humans have a much lower impact than nature.
Check out any small town fire department on July 4th.
It’s dozens of those bags in the kitchen and hundreds of boxes of scrambled egg goo.
They have completely different goals. If SpaceX wanted to throw out the Starship and Booster sections every time, they’re already as capable as the Artemis launcher. But they are looking longer term, and want to also be 1000x cheaper.
It took them dozens of launches to be able to re-use a Falcon9. They’ll get there eventually.
Nobody thought they’d get Falcon 9 to launch, and they did. Nobody thought they’d get Falcon 9 to land, and they did. Nobody thought they’d be able to re-use a Falcon 9 enough to make it worth the investment, and they did.
Doesn’t mean they’ll succeed, but it does mean they have a good track record.
Also… Starship absolutely got into orbit, and could have completed the orbital insertion part of an Apollo style single use mission.
They just haven’t finished troubleshooting the re-use part yet. It’s already more powerful and cheaper than a Saturn V.
Better late than never, but it’s going to be a lot more expensive (in real lives, land, property, and dollars) after having paused support for so long.
Recent research indicates it might be differences in the grapes, not differences in the dogs. Different breeds of grapes have different levels of certain chemicals that are toxic to dogs.
A - it’s DC comics for wonder woman
B - often pop culture borrows similar themes, so when an Amazon character becomes popular, other people tend to piggy back
Saying that this is a sum function on an Excel spreadsheet is a VAST oversimplification of this study. Stating that they did not take variables and parameters into account means that you did not read the study you linked. This may very well be a poor study, but not for the reasons you stated.
