so many people around the world are starving and you come out hear bragging about the third meal you had today?
the world is terrible: wallow in the negativity and spread it like the rest of us

your opinion on toxicity is “wrong”

economies of scale: high end components aren’t manufactured in enormous quantities. their price has to pay for everything along the supply chain plus profit.
for friends and family, use separate emails/sim cards. sim cards must be the prepaid variety. pay in cash. don’t use these for anything outside of scope
for the shopping one, don’t buy anything online. don’t link your bank or a credit card. you’ll have to go to the store in person and pay in cash. wear a mask.
Yep, buildings are the most energy inefficient thing we have. Glass is problematic, but also fire regulations that prevent natural air circulation in builings and then require AC. (Air conditioning/active cooling)
Australians get to the BIOS fast
For economic/political gain! Let’s use an example:
Suppose there’s a country that has resources you want. Let’s call this fictional, puny, backwards, country Volibia and let’s say they have this resouce called Mithium. Unfortunately, the leader of Volibia is a socialist who doesn’t like to do business with your great big excellent country because of a history of bullying into one-sided economic policies and coup attempts. What option’s do you have to get these resources?
You’ve gotta meddle in Volibia’s internal affairs to displace the party in power and replace them with your cronies. Stage a coup, etc.
Many companies view teaching employees as an investment. Sure, someone with skill will have to work with them for a time but then they create enough value to pay that back and more as his or her life unfolds.
While were at it, let’s just remove school entirely. Children could compete in the free market of unpaid internships and develop skills that will be useful for their working life. I feel like government has had a monopoly on education for too long, let’s let the free market do it’s thing and save the day.
Every nation should meddle in the affairs of other nations as much as they can for political/economic gain, right?
State department should have had a stronger travel advisory much sooner. It’s their job to advise people about this.
The state department didn’t advise against travel to Haiti before this??
What a pansy! Dude rides around with crumple zones, air bags, and a seat belt.
Out here, in the heartland, we rely on our individual skill to ensure our personal safety. The country is going to end up with all kinds of liberal regulations if this chump gets elected for federal office.
Keep doing your thing everybody… Don’t worry, electric cars are going to save us
This is the answer.
The only standard that applies is the happiness and health of the people. Saying that they “don’t know” or “wouldn’t know how” dehumanizes the people who live there.
There’s disgrace in describing people this way. Do better.
I mean, I’ve never been there so I don’t know anything about it and I don’t make enough money to “support” a country. So I don’t really know what OP means by that.
My response was more in line with OPs closing question on why people defend the actions of a country like China. It’s fun for me to take the unpopular position. It’s kind of like a devil’s advocate role
because ridding Israel of “terrorists” is important to western agenda. it’s important lay people understand why all the “terrorists” had to be killed. even the juvenile ones
