Even the article is apathetic… they write “escorted” her back to China, when it’d actually be “kidnapped” or “abducted”…?

All those services block IPVanish and Proton. They want my data not my money.
How do you come to that conclusion from their blocking of commercial VPNs? Sure, of course they want your telemetry as well, but it’s mainly due to the copyright owners/distribution agreements.
Buying pirated DVDs is one example I assume?
I have my country and my beliefs. And I don’t want to give up either my country or my beliefs. And I cannot betray either the first or the second. If your beliefs are worth something, you must be willing to stand up for them. And if necessary, make some sacrifices. And if you’re not ready, then you don’t have any convictions. It just seems to you that they are there. But these are not beliefs and principles, but thoughts in the head.
And he talks about just a month ago how his sacrifice is sitting in solitary. He either underestimated how brazen Putin is, or thought it’d eventually be some kind of martyr? A real shame he’s gone regardless.
Why would you ever want to rename the file though? The extra tags are useful, eg for when searching matching subtitles or remembering quality without needing to check ffprobe.
I would hope doctors wouldn’t put metallic things in their MRI room though.
It’s a public static IP, no one else is on it except for me :)
Do they actually do that in the majority of cases, or just a few to scare people? Germany is really weird on IP law…
admitting that they might need to if they were forced to. That is extremely reasonable.
It’s not though? The reasonable result would be to simply shut down in that jurisdiction.
You can comply with the law whilst not having anything to provide the law. Such as Mullvad does.
You mean they got a shock letter that says “pay us, or we’ll take you to court”? Just throw that junk mail away.
My ISP uses CGNAT but I have a public static IP from them. 10+ years of heavy usage and not a single letter.
doesn’t make sense for a country like China to invade the greater portion of Africa
No, so they just appropriate the places they cared about with their investments from the start, such as rare earth mines.
It’s also common that we export our renewable electricity whilst still needing to import non-renewable energy.
Hamas is also guilty of genocide…
Rafah crossing has almost never been open for over a decade. Egypt doesn’t want a ton of Palestinian refugees either. So yeah, while it’s in their best interest that the conflict ends, they’re not doing many actions to reduce the human suffering in Gaza.
“subjugated”? Don’t be inane now. What’s your solution, other than Hamas ceasing their terrorist attacks?
Maybe Palestinians could try living in Jordan? Oh, Black September and all that happened.
Or maybe Lebanon would work? Oh, that’s how we got Hezbollah, who has basically taken over Lebanon.
Maybe Egypt will open their doors to the Palestinians again? But then again, Rafah border crossing is almost always closed, because Egypt’s de facto relationship with the Palestinians could be described as “we like you, but mostly because we hate Israel more”.
I sympathize enormously with every normal Palestinian, but Mandatory Palestine will never be a thing again. The so-called State of Israel will continue to exist. It has been too long, and the only humanitarian hope for everyone involved is for Hamas and all related groups to accept defeat. But I don’t see that happening, because the conflict isn’t just over historical lands and freedom, but to eradicate all Zionists.
I would have thought OP wanted an achievement in The Stanley Parable (5 years without playing), but they’d need to redo their math in that case…
