I definitely don’t think they are in beta. What type of logs are you trying to get?

Get DataDog if you can afford it. Shit magic. NewRelic is nice too, and cheaper. I used to use GreyLog and it was ok, Loki def was less work to maintain.
Yeah, they are super pro FOSS. TBH no one makes a better IDE than them for professional settings. I wish Adobe did things the way they do them.
Absolutely. Plus if you run a open source project they will give you the whole suite for FREE.
LinkedIn is for posting a link to your resume. Unless you own a business or are a sales monkey, it’s a waste of time.
How do you like it? I wish they had a MATE version 😢
Nothing, it’s just a touch harder to use? I mean I use it on a old netbook and it works just fine. Did a net install and then loaded LightDM + MATE… Oh … Yeah, there ya go, not quite as easy as Ubuntu. Still amazing for servers.
I tried Google Drive, and also Seafile. the catch is that it needs to sync the files to your phones local file system. You could also do Next cloud or use Folder sync. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dk.tacit.android.foldersync.lite
I’ll take KeepassXC and KeepassDX + SyncThing, just works and I don’t have to ever rely on someone else for my most sensitive data.
Eh, I think a lot of it is right tool for the right job. I see Rust being used in a lot of places it doesn’t make sense. As a C replacement sure, go for it. CLi apps… Okay I guess? I’ve just seen folks build stuff just as good with GoLang or much faster with Python. I think there is a very vocal group of Rust devs in the FOSS space, which I think makes a lot of folks think it’s more popular then it really is, especially in a professional setting.
Does everything have to be rewritten in Rust? 🤣
You need to try Regiolith DM. Your gonna love it.
It’s expensive to run your own servers, even with Hetzner, Vultr and Digital Ocean.
I would recommend KoFi for donation services. It’s what we prefer.
Servers aren’t cheap to run… And we’re all still trying to run stuff as cheap as we can while still giving our users a good experience.
Micro gang rise up!
Building communities and stuff that bring value to users is what really matters at the end of the day. Too many folks in the FOSS world like to stand on soap boxes.
My time is valuable, if I can have someone else run a service, then that’s time I can spend doing things I enjoy. Self host when it makes sense, either from a cost perspective or a data privacy perspective. Everything is a balance.
Nothing will ever be as convenient as letting someone else handle your infrastructure headaches. You don’t win by complaining, you win by providing a better user value.
It’s why Steam beats Torrents and Torrents are coming back over streaming. My time is precious man.
I think that depends on the power supply?
It’s great because folks here give a shit.
And if you want to get a hold of a mod or a admin/sysop, you can.
We’re all just users, trying to make this place the best we can. ❤️
You can use https://forwardemail.net It works really well. I can send and receive on a custom domain with my Gmail.
