Thanks, I didn’t understand this at all either.
Off topic here but from the looks of it Lemmy requires a serious amount of time and work. Is the development team working on this full time in lieu of a full time programming job? Or is a passion project in addition to your real live duties?
I still use it from time to time because sometime I just need the information I’m looking for. I’ve justified it telling myself that I’m using it 1/100th of the time I used tt and only use it when necessary.
Nothing is ever bad as places like this make it out to be. Reddit had (probably still has) the same propensity for hysteria.
I almost always buy games from resellers as long as it’s the best price. I’d rather have something cataloged in my Steam/Epic/Origin/etc library than deal with having to deal with the installation manually.
My Plex server using parts from 2013
It was an old business PC that used a celeron which didn’t handle Plex streams very well but I upgraded the H61 BIOS to accept 3rd gen i7 CPUs and the 3770s does a great job even with multiple streams going at once.
Besides Plex it’s basically my seedbox and I have F@H running on 2 cores 24/7 to make use of the fact that it’s always on. It’s such a simple machine but I love it.
You can feel their frustration in this post. Being a mod is a thankless job.
because it’s on the front page…
It’s on the front all communities front page. Hard to avoid.
I came here to get away from reddit yet every single day there’s posts talking about reddit…
That is sad. I used it for pirating episodes of the British version of Love Island. It was regularly uploaded and I didn’t belong to any trackers that uploaded reality TV. Hopefully I can find something before the next season begins.
