That sounds like the default GitHub boilerplate message, to be fair.

I find that I need to restart VSCode occasionally for reasons similar to this. I write C# daily, and sporadically VSCode will just completely lose track of all namespaces and everything is now a syntax error.
A more crude variation than using dedicated ripping tools is using yt-dlp. If you need a login to a service, you can pass the username and password or login with a browser and pass in the browser’s cookies. I’ve personally heard you can do that to at least rip sub-gated Twitch VODs, anyway.
Definitely ancient since C# has been cross-platform for 4 years with Dotnet Core. If you include Mono, make that 19 years.
Hmmm. I would think that would work, but this is about the extent of my networking knowledge, sorry. :(
The tool tip gives the IP ranges that it opens up, can you make your OpenVPN network live in one of those ranges and try?
You need to enable local network sharing on the Mullvad devices.
I’ve seen the same speculation. The video in question is here. I’m skeptical because it looks like the area has power, but then some people are saying the area with power is actually Ashkelon and Gaza is the dark section. But then this video also apparently made the rounds in 2022? There’s a lot of disinformation going on.
Reuters and the AP are officially reporting it as an Israeli airstrike, though, so until we hear anything else, I’m believing them.
This is dope! There are a lot more important things on the roadmap, but a qBitTorrent plugin or compatible endpoint would be amazing.
Holy hell Java on a Smartwatch?
WearOS is based on Android, which uses Android Runtime (ART) as the application runtime. ART uses Java (or any other JVM-compatible language, such as Kotlin) as the development language, but compiles the app to native code when it’s installed on a client device.
So… Kind of?
I’ll definitely be using LocalSend for my less tech-savvy friends, but I’ve had lots of success myself with Portal. It works local or over internet, depending on if it can make a direct connection or not. Works great for quick file transfers to and from my desktop and servers.
He said in his follow-up video that there would be no more follow-ups. So we’ll see.
… No? I know for a fact mod actions federate to me because I can see them in the mod log and in the interface. I can see which posts and comments were removed and which users were banned.
Edit: If you’re implying there’s dissonance between me caring about mod actions federating to me, but not caring that my mod actions may or may not federate out, the difference is that I’m not hosting any communities. I have a tiny, inactive, special topic community, and support and announcement communities. If I was hosting a big, active community, obviously I would care a lot more about moderation federation.
No, you have full control over what shows up on your instance and moderation actions are federated. So actions taken by admins and mods of the original instance federate to me, meaning I really don’t have to do much work on my side. I think I’ve only had to take a few actions myself since starting my instance. I don’t know if my mod actions are federated back to the original instance, but as it’s not hosted by me, I don’t care much.

You register at the DMCA website and respond timely to DMCA requests, while doing a decent enough job moderating.
That’s literally it.
It’s one of those annoying enemies from Nier Automata, kill it.
I’ve shifted towards using Obtainium for most of my open source apps and get them straight from the repo release page. I didn’t have any real problem with F-Droid, it’s just really slow to release updates since they build everything themselves (which is cool, but again, slow).
Depends on the state. For example, Texas does, but its neighbor Arkansas does not (only required a back plate, last I checked).
Holy shit, a Metallica meme! Didn’t expect that today, what a nice surprise.
Fun fact, Caesar salad is named after the guy who invented it, an Italian living in Mexico at the time.
