    If paying on a monthly basis, as soon as you pay for 12 consecutive months, you will receive this perpetual fallback license providing you with access to the exact product version for when your 12 consecutive months subscription started. You will receive perpetual fallback licenses for every version you’ve paid 12 consecutive months for.

    So, in your example, you unsubscribe in month 15. This means, you paid 14 months so you get to retain the version from month three (which is 12 full paid months to 14). This means a downgrade to 1.0.x and not to 1.2.x

    Not quite. If they had overlooked a few accounts, they’d probably not even implemented that function. They’d just said "well, if you forget your password - or need to change it - you need to use the forgot password workflow that sends an email. Everyone without an email Adresse associated with their account would be SOL.

    Since they implemented it, they are aware of such accounts. But since “providing freely any email address for a password reset” makes absolutely no sense, this should only work for this special case - accounts without an associated email address.

    Whether it’s only done for unlocking accounts, whether this would have also worked when clicking on “Forgot Password” or whether this account lock and unlocking workflow might even be intentional to associate an email address to such accounts, is unknown (to me)

    I think newer accounts can only be created, when providing an email address. There may be some old accounts that don’t have an email address associated. So, in most cases, you’d just be able to restore the account if you have access to both the account password and the email address. This breaks apart, if there’s no email address associated so I think they provided this way of recovery although it doesn’t improve security since it only applies to very few accounts?

    I just got it on an old throwaway account that I forgot to delete. But not as a DM as others, but as an email.

    You are receiving this email because a Reddit account, [redacted], is registered to this email address.

    And you can be sure that I checked off every box that you let me, so that I wouldnt receive unsolicited mails… By the way, I’m not even eligible for the IPO and you shpuld know it, reddit.

    I use Voice audiobook player, that can do that, too. But when I switch devices, … it’s easier to pick up where I left, if it’s at least separated by chapters (or as some MP3 CDs do every 3-5 minutes a new track).

    Also I do sometimes buy mp3 audiobooks for a blind friend who prefers to listen to them on a CD player (buttons can be felt and its easier to use than a touch screen). But a single, several hours long mp3 is bad in this scenario. And as i didnt find a tool to split them easily, Audible exclusives were out of the question…
