“hey, sorry to seem rude, but I am a little neurotic about this, I recently got sick from eating some unwashed vegetables so now I’m trying to be hyper vigilant, can I wash these really quickly?”

Anyone who isn’t admitting it yet isn’t going to start doing so because of fresh evidence
Are you confusing her for Carly Chaikin?
Thanks for shedding some light on this
Eärendil is the GOAT of half-elves 🌠
Same. I got lifetime memberships to 3 usenet provides but the *arr suite gets ~95% of my media from nzbgeek. Now the only recurring cost is for my provider. Downloads are so much faster and reliable than torrenting, and the automation is amazing.

Of course this already exists lol
I built a NAS and I have the full *arr suite running on it in containers. Usenet and torrent clients organize my media, and since it’s a network share I can access everything from my devices.
I prefer using Another One Bites the Dust
Whatever they end up building will still be harder to navigate than traditional city layouts. An example one lemmy user mentioned in a previous post is how unfortunate it’d be if you lived at one end and worked at the other.
Maybe just initially download everything into one “To be sorted” folder first ;)
Meanwhile I can’t even get my boomer mom to switch to Google Messages from Samsung Messages because she’d “have to relearn how to use it.” Then she just continues to complain that she can’t send messages over WiFi, and that when she sends or receives pictures over SMS they get compressed… 💢
The atreides family atomics are da bomb
Supposedly it tastes like Cinnamon
I got a Blu-ray player just because I had an extra 5.25" bay. Flashed the open source firmware for it so I can rip and burn Blu-ray with it.
That was a year ago; I’ve never used it once
I’ve noticed this using Spotify. If I manually play an explicit song - either directly or in an album or playlist - I get the uncensored version. If I ask Google Assistant to play the song, I get the censored version.
Never heard of it! Will check it out. Ty 4 the recommendation!
OP specifically mentioned grandkids, so I’m assuming they are on the older side. When you get old, it can be nice to have the extra support of shoes, even inside your house. I never wear shoes inside but my parents (in their late 60’s) always do since their house has hardwood floors.
I first started following the Israeli-Palestinian conflict twelve years ago and the IDF were using Palestinians as human shields back then (and I believe well before then). While this is nothing new, seeing video evidence of it is so jarring, horrifying, and indefensible it has left me feeling shaken and infuriated at the wanton disregard for human life and international law.
