Just archive it and take up farming.
The thing with football is that there is a specific goal (pun very much intended). It’s ok to have a mindset that you’re going to play in a way that makes it unlikely (in the beginning) you’ll achieve that goal (eg play left footed), but if that player never improved, would you still think it’s ‘working’)?
I worked in an industry for many years that was obsessed with goal-setting, and that mindset never appealed to me. I eventually found a book called Goal Free Living by Stephen M. Shapiro. It was a bit of an eye-opener for me, and the phrase “Carry a compass not a map” stayed with me until today. I’ve done several different things since then but I’ll never be famous for any of them as I still keep changing direction.
Same—my local micro brewery does a night once a month where they demo things about brewing. One month they made 6 ales with identical ingredients apart from a different strain of yeast for each. 6 very different drinks.
More importantly, it gives them demographic information (sex, age, race, etc). Can’t get that from just sales figures.
As opposed to an omen of the …
I think it was just nervous—bit of performance anxiety probably. But you can see by the smug, self-satisfied right hand side that it all worked out in the end.
But what the bank did next will shock you.

And more than one skeleton.
Plus it’s probably more complex to engineer multi-colour (well, two colour) font rendering onto the video. Getting the background brightness for each character is as simple as adding all the pixel rgb values together and threshold in. It doesn’t need to be very accurate.
Also en-dash for separating two numbers when indicating a range. I have AHK shortcuts for them both :).
It’s a big of a problem.
It does become not a technical discussion but a philosophical one pretty soon. I’m not sure humans can accurately cite their sources either—yes they can be interviewed and claim X or Y as a big influence on their artistic work. But how do they know that? Do they know that more than an AI asked the same question?
I wouldn’t want to put anyone off doing this, but my experience is that joining an existing large project as a contributor is harder than writing something yourself from scratch. Your code will be held to a high standard which, if you’re learning, can feel like a lot of criticism. I’m a fairly experienced developer but get nervous submitting PRs to projects I wasn’t involved in from the start.
