This is one reason it is so wild that corporations in the US are entitled to “free speech” (in the form of spending) after the Citizens United decision. They get benefits as if they were a person, but far fewer of the natural restrictions.

Trump’s supporters have been so programmed to accept everything he says at face value or, in some cases, just to ignore what he actually said in favor of the party’s updated spin. In all cases, they believe it is impossible that he could do any wrong, so any semblance of incongruity or poor leadership or any negative aspect of Trump at all must be due to lies of his opponents – even if that means the entire system would have to be rigged against him to an extremely unlikely degree.
The last time the world saw these tactics used to such an extreme extent and with such success required a widespread campaign of so-called “denazification” after a very prolonged war.
That plus a massive amount of inherent isolationism plus an extreme birth shortage and an already very aged population.
The writing is on the wall in many ways unless major, unprecedented changes were to be made. Japan in a hundred years will be unrecognizable without them.
Let’s not forget: it appears that JD Vance may be the originator of that whole farce.
In which case, Trump touted it because either a) they honestly think it is good propaganda which will sway the campaign, or b) Trump is quite literally eating his own dog food, because there are too many lies to keep track of.

Needs to be 32 hours. Just shoving the same 40 hours into 4 days is not actually an improvement.
Are 4 10s better? It depends on who you ask. On the dark side, one could argue that it does more to normalize a 10-hour day than to “shorten” the work week.
You won’t see the same kinds of varied responses if it were a 32-hour week with no pay reduction, though.

Tangentially related, but I’ve had a “Tap here to accept the Samsung terms of service” notification for years now. I always swipe it away. I swear they always show it right after I had a bunch of other notifications to make me more likely to tap it. I have thus made it my life’s mission to never accept it.
