That didn’t end well last time though

No need for poisoning. Where he was -30°C is normal at this time of year. Not giving him a coat would have been enough to kill him
Instead of brake checking, flash the rear fog lights.
A red light coming on often makes them think you’re braking.
The problem goes back further. You say “another group owned it first”, but Israel say they have had that land for millennia and it was given to them by God.
Palestine did not even exist until the British randomly carved it out on a map except for a brief period under the Romans around 0BC. The Romans called it Palestine in order to remove Israel’s identity.
How far back do we go?
That almost as bad as Top Gear logic!
So by purchasing clothes you are supporting slavery?
Tom Cruise begs to differ
Tape a bunch of drinking straws to the back of a Tonka truck. That’s basically what N Korea have done after all.
Not really, more like:
Poor guy claims to be able to afford nice things, waves a load of junk dragged from the local scrap yard in front of the local homeless guys claiming it is amazing.
Sounds like you need a holiday.
Rent a log cabin with no cell service for 2 weeks and see what you feel like when you get back.
Either your parents have serious problems or your mum is developing some form of illness. They need to see someone.
What do mean ?
Doesn’t “touts directions” tell you everything you need to know? /s
I know, but do TV shows to it?
I understand that it dynamic range is necessary and having none is terrible (look up “loudness wars” in the recording industry), but it seems TV shows are no longer mastered for a actual home consumption.
Back in the day, we would work on our nice studio monitors, switch to a pair of NS10s to make sure it would sound good on a cheap Hifi, but we would also make it sound good on something garbage. Sometimes (always in fact) this was to the detriment of how sound on good gear, but 99% of people use garbage.
Until 6 months ago I had 2Mb/s (with a tailwind) DSL that had a consistent 10% packet loss.
I feel I have earned my 2Gb/s fibre!
We used to call it “compression” and itwas an essential part of the recording process. It seems TV shows don’t do that anymore.
Been running one for 10 years, mostly as a NAS. Ran Openstack on it for a while, oVirt also. Currently just running KVM and an NFS server to keep it simple.
I do want to put one of the community firmwares on it. That way I can use an HDD in the optical bay in AHCI mode, but the tools only exist for Windows as far as I can tell.
I think pictrs has a not very well documented object storage option. I’m struggling to find the link right now though.
You want to say porn is what allowed Blu-ray to beat out HD-DVD?
I doubt it. By the time that format war arrived the internet was well and truly established, so I reckon the vast majority of NSFW content was consumed with no physical media.
Another reason would have been Xbox Vs PlayStation. The Xbox 360 had an HD-DVD as an optional extra, compared to the PS3 including Blu-ray as standard. Which was going to win?
The porn industry’s influence is vastly overrated.
The porn/VHS thing is a bit of an urban myth. Top Gun was the first blockbuster only released on VHS and had more effect than porn.
Anecdotally, my sister and I persuaded our dad to buy a VHS so we could have Top Gun.

Fun fact:
I went to a private school where some of the teachers were freemen of the city of London. Apparently, they could request that tower bridge be raised. None of them ever tried, but I believe it is some weird legacy law. They also had the right to drive their sheep across London Bridge, but that one has burnt down, burnt down, burnt down.
