If firms are the ones using AI, then it isn’t even HR wizards. It’s the geniuses that can manage to pick out the right candidate for a job even though they know nothing about the position, company, location, candidates, or work load.

They are already throwing out your best candidates because they don’t know what they are doing, but their firm costs less than a couple HR people so the share holders still think it’s a good idea.

That would have been so helpful. Instead we burned through both of our mobile data so she could do meetings in the early morning, and would head the the library after to get everything else done (including anything we needed to look up because our data was over haha).

When we moved to a new town, we went to the library every day to work online until our internet got hooked up. The main branch in town has a switch that you can play upstairs, and a bunch of 3d printers. They even have the latest video games that you can rent; I wanted to give it a try but I’ve got too many in the backlog already lol.

What kind of companies are you applying to? I’m pretty sure if I tried this with most of the places I’ve bee in applying to in the tech field, they would just laugh it off and say they don’t have that information.

And its allowing for remote workers in Canada or the United States. Most tech jobs I see lately are the opposite, they want you to do more work than the role entails for less money than it should be making, and less and less of those jobs offer remote work. Lots of the jobs I have been applying for want you to do the work of a supervisor for the pay of a specialist.

It’s legal for ‘traditional uses’ which I would say is legal-ish. Even though most of them shut down, there are still Happy Pizza shops in every major city.

I’ve seen article in the past couple of months that basically said the regulation for cannabis when it became legal was next to nothing, and that caused some issues with locals when some people tried to take advantage of the lack of regulation.

I can’t remember the specifics, but I’m sure it had to do with an over abundance of stores popping up in major tourist areas.

Anecdotally, I will say that it has caused an increase of selling weed to other neighbouring countries. When I went to visits friends in Cambodia this summer, there was lots of ‘hydro’ available in cities close to the border that is 100X better than the stuff in Cambodia, where it’s legal-ish.
