So e-commerce site? Or is it digital delivery only? Also I’m getting filtered by the captcha, how do you solve it?
Sellafield is leaking nuclear sludge due to decades of neglect and apathy; an entirely British problem
The current Chinese state did not exist before WW2, so I think that comparison is a bit odd
Which nations would you not call shitholes?
Frankly man I find this very insulting and pretty racist. You don’t have a good word to say about them eh?
If politics is not policy and strategy, what is it? A game?
Wtf are you on about? I’ve been to Vietnam several times and the progress they have achieved in such a short period of time is incredible. They have built megacities on the ground where the yanks firebombed. Have you been to Da Nang? Walked around HCMC? Spoken to the people? They are evidently working against the corruption, as we can see in this article, whereas where I live everyone knows the govt sends cash to their buddies and no one can do anything about it? Western liberal democracy is a facade
snakemake is a popular tool to define analysis workflows for bioinformatics (also another equivalent called nextflow), there is also KBase, which is a webui for running different jobs, not sure if that is open source.
Bioinformatics perhaps? But I think a lot of those are just specific analyses done in notebooks. Being able to submit a notebook and have it computed though would be pretty handy I Imagine
It seems others have suitably answered your questions, but I’ll add my opinion too:
Ditch windows and use linux, you will get much more performance, reliability and of course less spyware. “Old” is probably completely fine, we are hosting loads of stuff on an old i3 with 2 cores, including streaming. If you have an old CPU it may be worth adding a basic dedicated gpu to help with video decoding when streaming video, audio should be fine however. A cheap second hand ssd would be a good purchase as a boot drive and for the container images, and then you can store the big data on a hard drive.
You may have to host it yourself to get the features you need. I’ve often heard universities have lots of old PCs lying around, you may be able to get one of those and run nextcloud on it. (Or just a file server and use LibreOffice). The university probably has their own networked storage as well, can you use that?
You can run tailscale client on the host, not in a container. Then for the domain names, create a DNS record either in the public DNS (or I think you can do it in the internal tailscale DNS) that points a wildcard for your subdomains (*.domain.com) to the IP of the container host within the tailnet. Do “tailscale --status” on any device joined to the tailnet to see the IP addresses inside the tailnet. Then all of the devices will make their DNS request to either your upstream DNS or the internal one, they get the response back that they need to send their http request to the container host within the tailnet, it sends on the default 80 or 443 ports for http and https respectively, and then your reverse proxy handles the rest.
Yea I think what I’ll do now is just forego the bike computer, and use osmand. It has pretty good routing support, and very customisable. really impressed with it. Bike computers are part of the bad side of cycling I would like to leave behind anyway.

Not to knock the work you have done though
