That is probably the best solution, but the devil would be in the details. Who would decide on the government? If it is via democratic elections, then the Jews would have a clear majority and could push for policies favoring them. If it is the UN, I believe Muslim nations are the majority and can influence policies to further Arab interests.

Also, it would not take 40-60 years of not just living as one nation, but forced integration. It would require not just living in the same areas but doing something as drastic forcing all marriages to be interfaith. You would need to destroy people’s identities as Jews or Arabs and replace it with a single national identity.

Remember, they were one nation for the last several decades of the 20th century and it just made them more hostile. As we learned in places like Yugoslavia, forcing old enemies to become a single nation sometimes just makes all the hate grow and ferment.

It has been tried quite a few times. Inevitably, one side or the other does something mildly antagonistic, the other side retaliates, and they are back at war.

Maybe the answer is to do the opposite? Start arming both sides to the gills? Any nation going through nuclear disarmament drops of the nukes in no man’s land between the two? Make it so if either nation so much as sneezes wrong, not only is the region glass, but humanity ends in a nuclear winter, so every country in the world has a stake in keeping the peace?

So happy that some years ago we shut down the “grass roots” campaign for our city to host the Olympics. Supposedly, it was demanded by the masses, but the only people who expressed any demand for it were real estate moguls and sports arena owners.

Sure, but Windows Update was already part of the OS and web users were a customer segment that had an Internet connection. They could have pushed patches and bug fixes.

But seeing that even Microsoft abandoned making their own browser engine, it goes to show how complex it is to make one nowadays and with new web APIs/features coming out every few weeks it feels like, it’s almost impossible to keep up.

No, Microsoft is just historically bad at making browsers. It was not until Internet Explorer 7 that they finally implemented HTML 4 and CSS 2 without major glaring bugs.

I have tried Jerboa and Connect. Both allow me to swap accounts from the main menu, but I am brought back to me default start view and not the community/thread I was looking at.

Has Gentoo stopped being the distro of choice for people with too much time on their hands?

Several reasons:

1. Almost all of their products target the high end market (and even then, they are known to make stupid decisions to cut off high end use cases).
2. OSX tends to be opinionated on certain settings and it is hard (or impossible) to change them.
3. Many of the built in software only work if you exclusively use Apple products.
4. Apple simps.

None of the third party apps used supported chats, so I never used them, but I imagine that for people who did, this is a giant kick in a very vulnerable part of their anatomy.

If you don’t mind going out to the suburbs, Minado in Natick is a sushi buffet. I love being able to eat a few rolls of many different types.
