Sync for lemmy is pretty close in my opinion. The layout isn’t exactly the same but the different modes (compact, list, tile, big tile) and font sizes/choices can make it nearly identical.

A few things like how up/down votes work is a bit different but not crazy and the interface is really smooth unlike jerboa.

I was able to get there via mobile browser. Reddit has said that they’ve been testing disabling mobile reddit for some people but not all.

Imo it is also a way to offset some of the losses of engagement they’ve been experiencing and show potential shareholders that they can still drive traffic instead of being driven by it.
