Anecdotal at best, but the two people I know who drive trains both have engineering degrees.
Idk if we have any NYJ fans in here, but 2 years ago the coin meme was born. One fan flipped the same quarter every game to predict a win or a loss. It was correct for like the first 7 or so games of the season. It was a pretty wild ride predicting some unpredictable upsets for the jets for both wins and loses.
Because it’s bots all the way down
I used to have an “awkward smile” as in I couldn’t help but having an ear to ear shit eating grin whenever I was uncomfortable or upset. It would then perpetuate itself when I was conscious about it and uncomfortable at the fact that I was smiling at an inappropriate time. Took some practice at keeping a poker face initially. Once you can keep a straight face in any situation it’s much easier to fake an appearance. Still exhausting emotionally, faking it.
My guess would be that a majority of people don’t know what UFO stands for, or even if they do, don’t think about it. Most of the time you hear about UFOs is in pop culture referencing aliens, or the conspiracy guys equating crafts they can’t identify as alien UFOs, so it’s really not that hard to see why people jump to alien when they hear it.
I definitely felt like an ass, but everyone was a good sport about it. We all used it as good learning opportunity because the thought had never crossed my mind about a blind lemmy community/instance. They even invited and insisted I followed some communities. All in all it was a good experience from a dumb mistake.
Omg a little anecdote to add on to your point. I made a post on a news article about how people blindly follow name brands. It was only after a few blindly ehh and some other comments along those lines I realized I was on a blind community thread. Real foot in mouth moment lol. It was taken well enough when I explained my mistake and apologized. Got some good info too about the community.
Why don’t pigs like to be in the sun? Cuz then they’re bacon. Something along those lines
Just my personal experience, but I do feel like people have been a lot quicker to be snippy and not as nice and welcoming these last two weeks or so compared to a 2 months ago when I first got here.
So basically that new anime Zom 100…https://myanimelist.net/anime/54112/Zom_100__Zombie_ni_Naru_made_ni_Shitai_100_no_Koto
There is always that one friend scheming and on the hustle.
Well I guess that makes sense as to why the stories seemed so disjointed lol. Thanks for the clarification.
I don’t think I ever played the advanced ones. Tactics 2 is the one with the book and the kid in detention and the ending is basically it was all dream.
Don’t be fooled and just get 2 though. While not a bad game 1 is so much better
This was definitely a topic of conversation at your 4th of July event.
Do what makes you happy. If dating puts you in a bad place just don’t. But also know a relationship won’t just fall into your lap. It takes work from all parties involved. So if being someone is your ultimate end game it might be worth figuring out a system that works for you, dating app or otherwise.
I feel like it was worth it for me. I also learned a lot about myself and what I was ultimately looking for in a partner. Also the things I needed to improve about myself if I was going to hold a partner to those standards. It took quite a lot of dates for me to really figure it all out though, but once I did it made it all a lot easier.
Just remember in the end dating apps are trying to take your money and keep you satisfied while doing their best to also not get you into a relationship as they lose their product when you do.
Right? When the community has to work towards a goal together, everyone does a little better.
Isn’t Taylor Swift a billionaire? That is about the extent of my knowledge of her though.
