We definitely disagree.
We definitely disagree.
I think there’s a difference between being prejudice towards an outside group and not wanting your own culture replaced.
There is nothing inherently wrong with countries and their cultures not wanting to have others integrate. In the past this is what helped them survive.
It’s only a big issue in countries like the US that want to be a mixing bowl/melting pot and also are being xenophobic.
Depends on the terms. The better 0% fee deals only charge you interest on the remaining balance if not paid in full. Pays to read all of the terms before signing up.
Snort
I live in an at will employment state and have been a manager for quite some time. I’ve never seen an employee actually terminated for their protected status race, religion, etc. It’s always been because they had poor performance and/or attendance issues and didn’t want to get better. If you aren’t a solid average then it’s develop up or out. This isn’t my POV, this is the reality of the performance conversations I’ve been involved with. Personal accountability is a major problem these days. If you have none then you won’t have a job for long. The good news is that if you’re solid in those areas then you will be valuable to your employer. This is why so many military applicants get picked up. They have a basis for attendance and completing the mission.
Having said that, I’m sure you’re correct and discrimination does happen because their employer lied. I just think that it doesn’t happen quite as often as believed. Many poor performers I’ve known have outright lied about why they were actually terminated.
Saw the headline and thought, “this is what the US has to look forward to this year.” We love to one-up everyone else. Oh god.
Well to be fair, it’s about how it makes someone feel wearing it.
Ugh. What a load of horse shit. 1) People are lazy, 2) often don’t realize that they /can/ change them, 3) care to.
Well, when even your own citizens are crying out for the government to stop they may want to listen. Any use protection as a valid excuse when your citizens are wanting it to end.
I used this same tactic on other websites (mentioned in other comments) and it works extremely well. The incumbent failed to answer certain questions while a new candidate was eager to and had some really great game plans to tackle issues our city was facing. They ended up winning which was awesome and started putting policies in place that are doing good for people in the city.
I really like #3. Yes, it’s going to take more work than just searching them online but, they’re right, you will learn a lot just by seeing how involved/passionate the candidate is to actually make change for the good of others even if you disagree with some of their policies. At least you can sleep at night knowing they actually give a crap.
This is a good one. I’ve also used ballotpedia. Typically I use multiple sources just by google/bing/ddg/etc searching to confirm information on the candidate. Worked extremely well last mayoral election where we kicked an incumbent out who didn’t do a terrible job but we needed a change.
He’s taking a page from the Torah. One of the ways to completely eliminate your enemy was to wipe their entire culture off the face of the earth so not even one child is left to grow up to be a potential threat.
🤦🏼♂️ lol. Well done.
More than likely they got sucked in. That can and has happened.
The cake for my RN wife was a hamster. Yes, a live one.
where it sits until you and it come to an understanding.
Great writing.
This. Read an article a while back about American farmers getting sued because there was GM crop growing in their fields when they didn’t plant it. It had cross pollinated from neighboring farms. Being able to sue over patented GM crops is just a bad idea.
Hahaha.
That’s a weak argument. Just because I bring up another point of view doesn’t mean I subscribe to the view mentioned, which I don’t.
If a country doesn’t want to allow immigration then that’s perfectly moral. It may eventually kill their culture off in the long run but it’s not xenophobic by definition.
If a country does allow immigration and then is prejudice towards a group coming in then absolutely that’s xenophobic.
