I still disagree with the notion made up by punlishers that you buy a dvd or cd you somehow only buy a license to view it. I never agreed to that and you can’t just print text on something to make it so.

Ofcourse I don’t have the right to make reproduction but owning the physical product should make me the owner.

I think you make a fair point. And regarding sports it really isn’t fair if people have an unfair advantage. It also takes away the fun others have.

I think it’s a hard decision to make because you don’t want to be labeled as transphobic, but you also don’t want biological and trans women competing in physical competitions. Now if it was about chess that would’ve been something else.

The big question is what is fair. And I think fair is when we all have an equal chance and it’s no one has an unfair advantage over the other. And this might also disqualify biological men and women if that so happens to apply to them. Because it needs to be fair.

I’m a trans woman myself btw and I would feel terrible if I were to compete with biological women in something physical. I just can’t imagine how that would be fair. Even if my muscle mass is mostly gone now, we are built different. Not better or worse, just different.

No “more” buttons and no fancy scripts. Just load the page and maybe have people make some comments without reloading the page, but that’s it. We need less internet traffic and less resource usage. I should be able to visit a forum board like reddit with the same pentium 1 pc I used to visit invision forums on dialup back in the day.

To be honest, the real problem with betamax was that Sony never thought about longer tape lengths. They just designed a cartridge and then got in trouble when they had to catch up with VHS when VHS offered longer play time. People wanted to record a football game when they were away and you just couldn’t do that with early Betamax. And even later on, VHS stayed supreme in playback length. Even though video quality was never as good as Betamax. I guess this also goes to show is that most people don’t care about the quality of a device but the usability of a device. Which brings us right back and why people would want to use bluetooth audio even if it is a sub optimal experience.

At least they treat you like an adult and give you the choice to use bluetooth, even if it may give you a lesser experience with latency.

This is how I’ve always felt, running on old second hand unstable rigs. But it’s better than nothing.
