These companies are just mad that their movies sucked and didn’t make any money, so they’re saying they’re losing profit from piracy… what profit?!?! No one wants to watch Hellboy 2019 for free, much less put in the time and effort to pirate that garbage. And if they are, then I feel like having to watch any fragment of that movie is punishment enough.
I’m pretty sure I covered that in the second part of my comment…
From what I’ve seen, it depends on how much is being spoken, and very much depends on what the actor is capable of. For a single line, more often than not the actor will learn it phonetically, and just say it themselves. If it’s a whole episode, the actor may accept the challenge, but if confidence isn’t high, they’ll get a sound alike. For full translations, like anime dubs, they get all new actors. But sometimes the same actor will stay and do the other language if they are fluent enough in it to do the job well.
Then there’s Vin Diesel doing all the alternate language versions of his groot line himself, which a lot of people tout as amazing, but I feel like learning how to say one thing in a foreign language, and just saying it with different levels of intensity or cadence, is something that anyone can do, and shouldn’t really be celebrated.
If our money doesn’t go there now, our troops’ lives will continue the fight in the future.
That guy does very well in his cosplay. He’s commonly known as “the real life Peter griffin”

Hence why I said it’d be an unpopular take, and knew I’d be downvoted, even though that show was immensely boring. There were cool parts, like the ship battle with the German dude, or the fact that Andy serkis is now officially 2 characters in the Star Wars universe. But overall I felt like the plot was severely lacking a good pace, and the acting was only so so. Plus, they never got me to actually like Andor as a character, so that dragged the show way down for me. But hey, different people can have different opinions. It’s why the Taylor swift movie made 100 million yet I’m not a big fan of hers either.
I support that take. The unique fighting styles were indeed quite awesome, especially between Baylan and Ahsoka. It didn’t help my review that I just saw the Honest trailer for the show, and they hit a lot of points that bugged me. Like Thrawns dad gut that they tried so hard to hide, but failed. The night sisters take was odd, and I feel like they falsely teased that the inquisitor with the mask (Rakan?), or the gold faced stormtrooper were going to be someone special. But that was likely me reading too much into YouTuber theories.
Do not waste your time watching Kenobi. That show was just awful. Ahsoka was pretty good if you watched rebels, otherwise it was simply meh. And, generally unpopular opinion, Andor was terrible, and took me 2 separate attempts just to get through it. Hell, if you haven’t seen season 3 of mando, even that can honestly be skipped. The Star Wars content overall, hasn’t been awesome beyond Mando S1+2.
Koko the talking monkey, says “Apple nipple hungry,” Koko the talking monkey, says “Apple nipple crap!” I wanna be Koko…
Whoever finishes the lyric has a spot in my own personal hall of fame 😂
A reference to super troopers, when they’re drinking the syrup. They look like the guy in the pic with their technique.
These boys get that shampoo in em’ and they get a little antsy in their pantsy.
I knew they had a population issue, but holy shit!
Yes, it’s: “that’s life… in Russia.”
The pills I’ve got. In the pudding they are. Sleep raped… you will be.
I’m not saying his overall intent was a bad one. But if you try something like that, in a country like Pakistan, you do kinda deserve to be in a mental hospital. I understand trying to spread acceptance and provide a safe place to go for those not accepted by the local society at large, but maybe there are better, even slightly more accepting places where this kind of idea would pan out. I feel like this is equivalent to opening a dispensary in Thailand.
