I don’t work in the dark. I work during the day, when my employment hours are. When it’s dark I’m not working anymore.

Senior dev and I like dark mode because I also like my retinas.

The videos by TJ DeVries seem like probably the best starting point there is. He’s a contributor, has built a setup script that’s meant to be minimalistic and configurable, and has tons and tons of info about running through all of it yourself.

I get it - there are in fact no real alternatives. Lemmy is great but there are a lot of niche communities I learned a ton from on Reddit and Lemmy just doesn’t have the people for that. Yes, yes, maybe one day, everyone just needs to contribute more, etc. But for right now, that’s a large barrier to exiting Reddit for a lot of people.

Also, they list those numbers using “total compensation” which for a private company includes shares which in most cases is monopoly money. Reddit is about to IPO allegedly so slightly more useful here. But it’s not just $300k in cash.

What? Nothing in here is “in relation to other generations”.

Don’t get me wrong, there are a fuck ton of unhealthy people in the US, but weight isn’t the end all be all. I’ve been “overweight” since I was 15, for the last 14 years now. I’m also 11% bodyfat and very very athletic. Weight and BMI are bad metrics.

It’s a one-time sync though. If I want history from what I watched on my desktop today I have to resync.

ReVanced taps into my history with microg. When I watch stuff on desktop with Firefox and uBlock Origin, I want those videos to show as watched on my phone when I open ReVanced so I don’t get recommended the same stuff. That works.

GrayJay can’t do this. It’s not better. It’s a good idea, but it’s a side grade.
