I studied systems theory, I’m just recounting what I know based on how I understand systems work.
pp. 83-5 Thinking in Systems Donella Meadows talks about hierarchy, resilience, etc.

We are in a more resilient position outside the EU than we were inside of it; we are dictating our own laws, we are becoming more stable by no longer relying on immigration to fill in the gaps of our job market, no longer reliant on foreign aid.
In the short term, of course this is painful. It’s withdrawal symptoms. In the long-term, it means that the UK will stick around for longer, regardless of whatever turmoil our neighbours get into.
I think we were always told it was going to be bad before it got better.
I wasn’t old enough to vote for Brexit at the time (just under the voting age), and I likely would have voted for Remain had I had the chance, though it feels a little unreasonable to judge the outcome of the Brexit decision just yet.
That’s not how you respond to someone saying “people are stupid.”
That’s not true at all. If I had the means to do so, I would be donating more, though I’m living pretty precariously myself.

The lumps in the sand are where they bury the bodies
Oh ok, thanks! That’s odd it would show the update for you earlier than me, it’s showing the updated information now.
Um, no? The article you linked to shows that they’re planning to launch it, though they haven’t actually tried yet, let alone achieved a successful launch…?
5: 1, 0, 0, 10, 100. (or 4 if uniqueness matters).
I am sure there is someone else out there who also does this. You’re looking for validation.
If you have the finances, then it’s not a huge issue. If you don’t, then you may want to try and not do this. 🤷🏻♂️
Attention is where you place focus on something. This is done through both the action of looking and the action of taking that information in and comprehending what you’re looking at. Attention can be applied to other senses too, such as listening, feeling, etc.
It’s also another word for alertness.
I would say that it’s a bumper sticker, an exclamation, to show that the person driving is fun-loving and country-loving.
Has similar vibes to YOLO (you only live once) as well.
Hasn’t this happened before?
I still use it occasionally for some things, though I’ve noticed a steep quality drop on Reddit. I spend much more time on Lemmy.
Lemmy > Discovery, Reddit > Specific Subs that haven’t yet migrated.
They aren’t being picked from the plant, the peck of pickled peppers Peter picks are from an entrée of already pickled peppers.
The shells she sells are sea shells for sure.
You can also imagine a movable centre.
Let it sway slowly before your forehead and circle your head from time to time, and you will sense the psychology of a bewildered person.
Let it circle irregularly around your whole body, in varying tempos, now going up and now sinking down, and the effect will no doubt be one of intoxication.
(Johnstone, 1987, p. 180).
There’s a book called Impro by Keith Johnstone.
It’s a book about improvisation, though in there there’s a very interesting part on moving your center around when it comes to character work.
So long as the centre remains in the middle of your chest (pretend it’s a few inches deep), you will feel that you are still yourself and in full command, only more energetically and harmoniously so, with your body approaching an “ideal type”.
As soon as you try to shift the centre to some other place within or outside your body, you will feel that your whole psychological and physical attitude will change, just as it changes when you step into an imaginary body.
You will notice that the centre is able to draw and concentrate your whole being into one spot from which your activity emanates and radiates.
(Johnstone, 1987, p. 179).
