I usually stay away from the political content for the reason you mentioned, but I figured I’d chime in and say I think this was a good decision. Stonetoss is a piece of shit, but there are plenty of other places on the internet for posts like that to happen.

Did my mail-in ballot a few weeks ago. Just a handful of unexciting city and school council seats. Sadly none of the more interesting races are in my district - there was only one contested seat for me to actually vote on. :(

A lot of the actual coding/scripting work that I’ve done recently has been server stuff. I recently containerized all of my game servers with Docker and bash, and I’m now looking at switching from my current janky Minecraft Docker setup to a fancier setup with autoupdates for Paper and its plugins. I’m far from a professional programmer, so it’s been fun to actually hack together useful things for myself.

I’ve had decent success running my fg games through Bottles using the GE Wine runner with VK3D enabled. This includes newer 3D titles running at 1440p on my AMD iGPU.

The CLI is simple enough that I don’t really bug with any GUI abstractions. I used tubesync for a while on unRAID with pretty decent success, but I eventually ran into some limitations and ended switching to a cron job.
