We have per weight pricing on a lot of items in The Netherlands. It’s great for comparing different items when you’re in the supermarket, but doesn’t really work against shrinkification. You simply don’t remember the price-per-kg from last week.

They’d have to get rid of that fascist bitch Meloni first.
I am, actually. But I didn’t follow the guy at all. I just liked some roles he played.
Have you seen them side by side? The difference between backlit LCD and OLED is massive. It’s a much greater jump in quality than going from 4k to 8k (which IMHO is barely noticable)

Their personal data will need to be stored somewhere for this to work, and it will leak. Eventually. Security always fails. And with these government age ID systems built by the lowest bidder it will fail sooner rather than later.
Life imprisonment is actually cheaper than the death penalty, all things considered. See e.g. https://deathpenaltyinfo.org/policy-issues/costs
Why wait? Switch to Firefox now
Yes, this is my goto as well. It’s been wonderful so far (about 5 years)
Upvote and downvote is just that (they recently fixed the reputation calculation). A boost is like a retweet. You crosspost the boosted content to your own microblog space. Kbin does both reddit-like discussion threads as well as twitter/mastodon like microblogging. In fact, kbin is fully interoperable with mastodon. By boosting something you retweet (retoot?) it to your mastodon/microblog.
I like gnome. My only gripe is that workspaces should be per-screen. But all Linux DEs aside from a few isoteric tiling WMs get that wrong.
