That’s the one.
It’s all just horseshit, if you want a motorbike with character, get a classic one. Hell, even my '82 Montesa manages to be reliable, yet has character out the wazoo.

Learn how to do bicycle maintenance and find a good second hand bike that needs a little love.
I have a Giant hard tail that was €1200 new, but I got it used for about €100. Serviced the brakes, put on a new chain, cleaned/oiled/greased everything mechanical and it’s like a new bike.
Superbike championships use road bikes with a change of fairings and upgrades to things like exhaust, brakes, and suspension.
Hell, Isle Of Man TT lightweight class has used stuff like the ER6f as a base which is a budget commuter bike, lol
A halo model super sport is basically a street legal race bike.
Yeah, nah, Ducatis are like the carbon road bikes of the motorcycle world - all about dick waving. A little while back one of the larger YouTube channels took the latest Ducati to a track and put it up against a cheap 7 year old Suzuki, and the Suzuki was still faster … and if you buy a Japanese sport bike it’s not going to have the mechanical problems of a Ducati either.
Source: I have owned, ridden, repaired and raced a lot of motorbikes, including some fast-ish ones.
So, short version is “yes, with a but”
Didn’t Alan Moore end up going off to write his own comics, with blackjack and hookers, because he never managed to reconcile the constrictions of the big publishers with his own political views?
And you missed the point of asking what Captain America did to ensure someone like Richard Nixon couldn’t get elected again. Or Superman with Lex Luthor.
Of course there are other examples of progressive comics, but the mainstay superheroes aren’t seen leading revolutions or improving political systems. They’re working against change.
Superheroes fighting false information online would be nice. Or forcing public healthcare through government. Etc etc.
At their core, however, the classic superheroes work to maintain the status quo and support the existing power structures of when they’re written.
At no point did Superman or Captain America stop American forces from invading a foreign country for example, or overthrow a medical insurance company.
The popular DC / Marvel ones certainly do
I thought it was just funny that the term “walkable” for some people invokes the idea of using bikes
Wouldn’t that make it a bikeable city?
I live in Europe, not about to break out the bike to go less than a couple of km
Walkable city means taking a bike. Got it.
Wow, and I thought my car insurance of €170 was expensive this year!
People, on a large scale, will never do that. That’s not in human nature, and thinking everyone will willingly stop driving and buying meat is just the least productive kind of dreaming.
Those in charge will never change either, unless forced.
Well, more meat-like substances. They’re meat adjacent, just within a normal human budget.
Is he objecting or backing up?
Not sure what’s going on with the back wheel, but I do want to read this Manga now …
Poor camparison, Superbike championship and the TT etc use the frame and engine (and quite a few other bits too). A stock bike in the right hands can get reasonably close to their lap times, and one with light mods (say, €1000 extra and a bit of elbow grease) can be halfway between the two.
