I never understood how movie-web got so popular when services like FMovies exist.
I like the app too, but “for years” might be a tad exaggerated. It came out 1.5 years ago.
I’m sorry you’re experiencing this bug. I’m not however. I even checked my pi-hole: the only access to connectivitycheck.gstatic.com comes from my wife’s phone, which isn’t hardened.
I vaguely remember doing some fiddling to the captive portal setting years ago. I probably found a way to disable the check altogether.

I went trough 5 days of Rethink logs to confirm. Not a single call to a Google domain was allowed. DAVx5 works great.
Another user posted that Davx5 from Fdroid has no dependency on Google. Maybe you’re using the Playstore version? I don’t even have GApps to install the playstore.

I use Rethink to block 90% of my traffic, including all system processes on my LineageOS. DAVx⁵ works like a charm for me.
If I ever need to explain irony to someone, I’ll show them this thread
I doubt they would be able to. I was interested and looked around a bit. There’s even a whole chapter in their documentation dedicated to adding extractors. First paragraph of that chapter is basically ‘‘do not add piracy websites’’
youtube-dl does something similar (it works on a lot more than just youtube). AFAIK each site needs a slightly altered code. You could have a look at the source on their github.
It might be as easy as forking the project and creating your own extractor.py.
Infiltrate them to track users like they already do now. And if your answer to that is ‘‘VPN’’, there are already countries where these are forbidden by law, what’s to stop them from being outlawed in more countries in the future.
I’m torn. I think everybody should fight back the predatory practices of the entertainment industry. But the more mainstream the piracy practices become, the more crackdown there’s gonna be, and the more of a hassle it’s gonna be to find pirated content.
As always, fmyh to the rescue: https://fmhy.net/videopiracyguide#live-tv-sports
Everyone without exception has had moments of weakness where they lashed out at something or someone wrongfully. That’s a bad deed but that can’t be the definition of a bad person.
Especially in this context. The dude isn’t really attacking the dev directly. He actually might just be venting. I wouldn’t do that like that but you really can’t assume anything from such a short exchange.
What do you mean by secret tips? Streaming is pretty straight forward. Are you looking for decent streaming sites? In that case go to https://fmhy.net/ and check out the streaming section.
I’m suprised as well. But it says monthly active users. So I’m guessing they count distinct logins per month, which a dead account can’t do. I’d guess it’s probably bots looking for keywords and building profiles for recruiters.
It is powerful, but usability is as shit as it always has been. Except for specific use cases Krita is the way to go nowadays. Even if it’s focussed on digital painting, it has almost everything you need for digital editing as well, with a much more user friendly UX.
Well dutch is almost a case of its own regarding difficulty to find dubbed content. Even your regular tv channels don’t dub american content, which means almost everyone in the netherlands is fluent in english: barely anyone needs dubs.
