They’re back up. I just checked, there was a vote and they allow videos again.
r/videos is back up though. The protest ended up being for nothing.
Yet every imaginable remix of the song is all over social media.
You can also seamlessly download videos on all of your devices, on top of their own music streaming service.
I’m sure you can get all of it for free somehow, but there’s a point in life that convenience is more important. Also, the family plan is dirt cheap if you consider all you get.
I don’t remember if the bot would work at all, but I was referring to all the people that used one of those tools to delete their comments or mass edit them to something like “this message has been edited because fuck u/spez” or something like that.
Hadn’t thought about how many people will come back to see their RemindMes on Reddit only to find deleted comments from people that left Reddit nuking their comments.
A lot of people use social media to follow celebrities, brands, politicians, etc., and Mastodon doesn’t have that (yet at least).
I prefer Mastodon, my feed consists of the people I decided to follow, instead of an algorithmic one. But one have to accept that Mastodon lacks the kind of users that most people want to follow.
Hopefully, if Meta ends up delivering on their promise to add support for the Fediverse, I will be able to follow the kind of people that otherwise would’ve never joined Mastodon (ie brands that would offer support for their products), from my Mastodon client of choice.
I know a lot of people disagree with Meta joining the Fediverse, but I prefer to be optimistic about it. Also, Mastodon supports blocking domains at a user level, so if you really don’t want to interact with @threads.net users, you can do it yourself.
Worst case scenario, we get back to the current status quo, so there’s nothing to lose.
Yes.
Liftoff! is super snappy, but I can’t get used to the UI, to me it seems like it lacks attention to detail on the visuals part of the app.
Edit: I just figured out why it looks so strange to me: the app is very Material Design-y, so it feels outta place on iOS.
Elon’s mom didn’t give him permission, so I’m afraid it’s most likely not gonna happen.
Elon’s mom didn’t give him permission, so it ain’t happening. I’m not even joking lol
Thats’s fair, most, if not all, of these apps has just started development, and it’s pretty impressive what they’ve accomplished so far.
Right now I feel like when Mastodon started to grow exponentially last year, all of a sudden there were a ton of new pretty good clients. I can see something similar happening here.
I gotta say tho that although using wefwef is helping me getting used to not open Apollo, I think it would be really great if it grows to become its own thing once the platform matures.
I do have installed as a PWA, and although I’m really liking it visually, it’s a bit buggy. I’d like to know if the bugginess is because of its beta status or the fact that it’s not native.
If it’s the latter, it’d be unfortunate since it’s making my switch to Lemmy so much smoother as I feel like I’m using Apollo, which I’m very used to.
You’re saying there’s a 3rd party Lemmy client named “Not Poop 3D” being developed as we speak?
