This kind of stuff is just another reason that reinforces my decision to switch from Plex to Jellyfin. Plex is just adding way too much bloat and unnecessary features.

Also in his original rant, he said “death con” instead of defcon.
I don’t really get what you’re trying to say but I do wonder if maybe an internal apple employee is somehow working with the company that makes Pegasus and that’s why they continue to have exploits.
Anyone know of any good options for iOS?
Dang I hope lemm.ee is safe. Hopefully Estonia doesn’t decide the same.
Awesome, I was able to. Thanks!!
Is there a way to sign up for the test flight beta?
It’s weird how the “experts” cited in the article defaulted to guessing it’s from an airplane. You’d think they’d default to rocket debris.
Props to the person or people who are developing this. It’s something YouTube themselves should have done.
I wish that sabnzbd had the same feature where you can force it to only function over the vpn interface. Such a nice feature to have.
Today alone has blown me away now many comments I’m seeing on certain posts. It’s extremely encouraging that this new place is legit and here to stay!
Unless you specifically paid extra for a license of ms office, this is just the trial crap bloatware they include with new PCs. You still have to pay for it if you want to use. I’ve heard you can get really cheap activation keys from certain “cd key” sites.
Sometimes one of them will be just bot posts pulling their content from Reddit or somewhere and it’s kind of annoying, like spam. So sometimes you might want to join one but avoid the other.
I’ll admit it was confusing and kind of scary when all the API stuff was announced about what just a month ago? We are still in the early phases so we probably just need to give it time to let it play out but that is weird what you mentioned about people turning on the mods. I guess to an extent it’s not surprising though. Once I learned about the viable options (Lemmy, kbin, mastodon, etc) I really took on a gung-ho attitude toward finding my new digs and am happy to see it flourishing.
Very well said. It’ll be interesting to see how it all ends up playing out.
Do you think they’re just not aware of alternate options like Lemmy?
Oh yeah I’m sure they’re freaking out about all this and trying to get into damage control mode.
Even if they did reverse the whole API decision, I wouldn’t go back now that we have Lemmy. It’s simply superior to what Reddit was.
Count me in!
There are government decency rules about what can be broadcast on over the air television and i have a feeling people beating the shit out of each other wouldn’t be deemed acceptable. Would be nice, but don’t see it happening.
