  • No. I’m sketch that Isreal is hiding something that they were doing on site near the festival and is using the event (not affiliated with Israel, just a rave that happened to be on site) as a cover for the reason Hamas chose it as a target.

There is the possibility that something is unknown here and innocent civilians on Israel’s side were stuck in the crossfire. When I mentioned civilians being reservist it is more than any could be apart of something the others don’t know about. So some were there for the rave, others could be there for something off record that warranted tanks on standby.

Then there is Hamas using the Palestinian plight as a cover for their goals. They very well could have their own political goals that are not readily apparent. So reality we might never truly know “why” the site was targeted.

I have no evidence to support it. I just cannot understand what significance or benefit Hamas attributed to a rave that warranted going through all the trouble of bypassing Israel defenses.

  • Objectively looking at our system of economics and governance has proven to not take the interests and plights of the people seriously, and is routinely highjacked by special interests to further their wealth and power at the expense of the working class and global environment.

If no fundamental change is made then …

    millions will die.

And those in power will write it off as an acceptable cost of doing business. They already have.

That isn’t a hypothetical. That is the reality of climate change on our current trajectory that our current systems fail to accept and do something about.

So to answer your question, there is no alternative people are trying to speak of. Our society is already crumbling and it is not salvageable.

So we have a choice not about alternatives, but on if ending it now would mitigate casualties as opposed to letting the train derail naturally.

At least if we willingly make effort to change we can have some control of the situation in favor of the working class or at least have solace we died on our feet than on our knees

  • We need to organize outside of the current framework. They want to play circus then let them, but we are the ones lining up in the front row to watch the show. We can just hang out in the cheap seats and talk amongst ourselves on how to bring the big tent down.

How to achieve this I don’t know. That is dependant on your local area. It won’t be immediate, and it will take time before there is any sizeable movement to actual begin direct action, but it has been done many times in the past and it must happen again if we are going to see change.

  • Yea, and I am very skeptical of a rave being held next to a prison with tanks actively on stand-by.

Hamas aren’t heros, being set up by Israel to destabilize Palestine in the first place, but with Israeli citizens being reservist members of the military, something smells about this. Hamas has no gain from a strike against a music festival.

Ignoring circumstances and just calling them dumb terrorists is short sighted and is a blatant demonizing attempt by Israel to justify their continued oppression of Palestinians.

This is also one retaliatory attack by a nation of people’s subjected to decades of violent persecution, being mad at water for boiling when left on a hot burner.

  • Internalized logical fallacies combined with perceived (or real) trauma along with a lack of critical thinking skills or self awareness required to understand that their thinking is illogical.

The brain is a dumb piece of meat that was shocking into awakening and it is scrambling to make sense of the world and its experiences. It doesn’t do a good job if left to its own devices and very often makes mistakes that if not rectified early on can become near impossible to unlearn due to cognitive dissonance.

These lines of thinking have existed for a very long time, becoming louder during the age of information, and all it takes is for someone not in a good headspace to read something that both reaffirms their sorrow as well as shift their personal responsibilities onto another entity. Our brains eat that shit up if not critically analyzed.

So when someone attempts to say that their perceived persecution is wrong or self imposed they become angry feeling invalidated on a personal level.
