Do you think that traditional project management is from the top down? Or were you exposed to bad traditional project management? Because that’s the same argument that you are making for Agile.

Let’s make things clear - the Agile methodology is a great tool. But like any other tool, it is not a one size fits all. But what is happening right now is that it’s pushed by upper management because that’s the cool tool.

No, it just means that this is not the right tool for that company. But it is forced upon the employees.

That’s naive ( or bad faith) to think that it gives power to the workers. It’s just used against them.

I get the spirit of the method, but it is not the only available tool and the right tool for every project and company and should be treated as such.

If there is so few people that get it right, maybe the problem is that the system is not adapted for the vast majority of people and the reality of the work life, and other options should be explored.

But there is always someone claiming that everyone else get it wrong and blablabla.

But someone with a MBA in a closed office is pushing that shit all the time, and everyone that has to use it roll their eyes because they know damn well that the only thing that will matter is those damn story points, and the people will game the system because that’s all that matters to those that don’t use the system, and you will hear about that other team that always finish the tasks in their sprint.

The planet is literally on fire directly caused by capitalism.

The housing crisis is because houses are seen as an investment vehicle instead of a basic human right.

The inflation is caused by corporations squeezing the population as much as they can to get every little cent they can.

Everything capitalism touch withers. There isn’t much new innovation anymore, just mega corpos buying other companies to stop the competition and lock the market.

Or swing the nuclear dick, make everyone nervous and make them swing their nuclear dicks as well.

The point still stand, if a NATO member engages fights in Ukraine, the outcome is not predictable and it escalates the conflict.

It’s never a war in a vacuum with only two sides.

The minute a NATO member put boots on the ground, it’s a bigger can of worms that is opened.

It usually means that their logical thing is pretty good because discrete math is pretty much all that.

You learn a concept, then you modify it to apply to different contexts for different applications.

I understand your point and I agree. But a lot of privileged people (i’m included in that) should definitely consume less meat or none at all.

This is a strange argument that the problem with vegans is that they don’t do enough for the poor?

I haven’t seen any vegans protesting in a 7/11. It’s usually high end butcher or restaurants.

So again, I agree with what you say, but it doesn’t make sense in the current frame of discussion.

You are right, but we use this privilege to eat more meat instead of more vegetables. So my point still stands.

And even then, meat is way pricier than vegetables, so the privilege argument is shaky.

But as I said, assume the fact that you eat meat and that it is more damageable for the environment and after that, if you are in a position where you can afford to eat less or no meat, do it if you feel like it.

If we remove the ethic argument from the conversation, veganism is definitely a better choice for the planet, factually.

People have a hard time detaching their ego from the issue at hand. Since veganism is better for the planet, they are “better” in that specific area of their life.

But it doesn’t mean that vegans are better people than non-vegans, because we don’t know what else they do.

Eat meat if you want. I do. But I don’t feel personally attacked because vegans are right about the carbon footprint of meat, and they preach for it.

It is still highly beneficial in term of heat when there is a lot of shade in a city.

The tarmac gets really hot and release that heat for a long time.

Imagine being a corrupt system trying to project legitimacy, and that shit stain of a human comes in and admit federal crimes and being a dick all around.

This is a slam dunk to use Tate as a way to project a working system even though it is probably not.

It was a hyperbole that companies never give back, but for every company that donates, how many don’t?

If the companies would give back even a fraction of what they generate by using FOSS, then it would be viable for a lot more people to be a FOSS developer.

If what you bring has an immense value, like nodejs where pretty much all the internet runs on it, you shouldn’t have to scrap by or need fundraising skills.
