Which is funny, since firearms were often very strictly controlled in many places throughout the 18th century and earlier. It’s not that they aren’t aware of gun control from the 1790s, it’s that they don’t actually care.

Reminds me of those unmarked police goons Trump set up to kidnap people during the protests and riots about them (the police) murdering people.

Also important to note that it was aristocrats that started and perpetrated the war to begin with. They weren’t just opportunistically jumping in to get their piece, but were the cause of the conflict to begin with. They didn’t want to be beholden to the crown, when they could just make their own country that they could design from the ground up to be exploitable.

The war was unpopular, attrition was high, and Washington was a blowhard. He killed more of his own soldiers than the British did. He was a drunkard and mediocre commander and only ended up winning because the French did most of the work for them.

I’d argue that NO government shutdowns should have ever happened, but I’m sure a few of them actually did happen for good reasons. 95% of them are just tyranny by the minority though.

It’s closer to 30% I believe.

Which explains why education funds are pretty much always gutted by certain groups in the US.

It only takes one of them, after all.

You aren’t wrong. I didn’t really want to plunge the depths of depravity to really explain or understand it though. The smart fascists and nazis are quite good at manipulating the stupid ones, hence why they work endlessly to misinform and to dismantle education.

They made up TDS because of how reactive they themselves are to the “culture war” nonsense that they’re shovel fed every day 25/7. If they can get so worked up about sexy M&Ms and Nascar banning the confederate flag, they have no position to criticize others for pointing out the blatantly terrible stuff their cult leader says and does.

In other words, its effectively the same thing as their insistence that the election was stolen from them. They are so self absorbed and obsessive that they can’t imagine its possible without the other side cheating. Considering just about every actual case of voter fraud found was Republicans, it’s just more projection.

Libertarians in the modern US are republicans that figured out saying that gets them no favors. At least that’s what it seems like to me.
