  • Hard disagree.

2 had some pacing issues, but all 3 are amazing works of science fiction, the last 2 suffering from understandably not being able to top the first movie’s reveal of “Your entire existence was a lie.” 2 and 3 expand on the lore while visually presenting deep philosophical concepts, but as studios have learned, trying to appeal to the widest audience means not challenging your audience.

They have since gone so far with that lesson, it has lead to stuff like the new Star Wars trilogy, a plotless trainwreck of endless appeals to nostalgia so blatant I’m surprised they didn’t have force ghost yoda turn to the camera and smile impishly like austin powers.

  • Money far beyond your material needs is power.

Power to alter entire governments and manipulate your own regulators, power to control others, the basis of grotesque corporate culture, it is a means, not an end.

Some use that power to buy news outlets and turn people into their ideological zombies, some use that power to build dynasties aka “foundations” out of vanity, and some use their power to “win” old grudges.

Bibi has sought power in the form of political office to do the last one. Allowing individuals to hold so much uniltateral power, be it in society warping levels of capital or political office without sufficient checks, is the mistake.

That’s what I have come to call the Paradox of Power. The ones most inclined and driven to seek power at any cost are almost always the last ones that should have it, and almost never have benevolent intent for that power, from a school bully who becomes a cop to a nepo baby who doesn’t like regulations on the family business becoming a Senator.

In his warped mind, Bibi fought for power to win a holy war, and that’s what he’s been doing. In his mind, he is chosen by God to secure the promised land from Godless animals. Religion sucks, whether one worships at the alter of Yahweh in his case, or Mammon in the capitalist’s case.

    Yes.

Enforced, adequately high progressive taxation could do that, in fact we had tax rates closer akin to that prior to Reagan, and at one point our highest tax rate was close to 90% as it should be so as to limit accruing enough wealth to warp our society unilaterally beyond their single vote with media and political bribery, but that died a long time ago in the name of “turning the bull loose.”

But then the greediest fucks among us bribed our leaders to get their way, to thunderous applause by idiot conservative peasants and many so called democrats, today’s neoliberals, and here we are, planet burning, terminal stage capitalism, good fucking times. But hey, as long as Bezos can have a second mega yacht to keep his first mega yacht company (he really does look it up) I guess it was all worth our impending collapse.

And remember, because I feel this always needs to be said with such sums…

193 million isn’t enough for him, and 193 million plus whatever millions he made in years prior isn’t enough for him. He’s going public because he’s a broken, disturbed human being that looks at his unethical levels of wealth, enough for most of the other humans that live here to live 2 dozen extravagant lifetimes, and still demands mooooooaaaaaar.

Why isn’t this widely accepted as severe mental illness?! This is hoarding disorder.

These aren’t big ocean house sums. These are buying politicians sums, and they are only achievable through exploiting other human beings and selfishly pocketing most of the value of their labor because you can get away with it.

  • A) That would take tax revenue for people that most voters sadly have almost no empathy for, despite most prisoners being products and victims of their society that were disenfranchised and driven into illegal activity out of desperation.

    B) Voters largely, maliciously love the suffering of prison populations, because it provides the sweet, sweet dopamine drip of schadenfreude. Most people see schadenfreude about prisoners as entirely guilt free, even if they avoid feeling pleasure at the suffering of the poor and homeless.

People by and large fucking suck. They see prisoners as the “other,” despite them being desperate, struggling human beings and countrymen that usually needed help but received the opposite before having little to nothing left to lose.

Few other issues put the unvarnished cruelty of mankind on display like discussing how we should treat our prisoners. For every benevolent, enlightened person calling for mercy, compassion, and rehabilitation, there’s 10 bloodthirsty people screaming to turn the fucking screws on those BAAAAAAD people.

  • For most, hopefully it isn’t about bad aim.

There is a moment, immediately at the commencement of piss, where the stream may or may not flow predictably. Usually this is after sleep or sex, but can happen at any time. This can mean the stream veers hard left/right until correcting, this can mean literally 2 separate streams.

The pressure corrects this potential issue for me at least within 2 seconds or so, but damage done.
