“Bustin’ makes me feel good!”
“Bustin’ makes me feel good!”
I was thinking about on Windows. There was a stupid badge notification that wouldn’t go away until I looked at their ad for Boost.
Discord had been doing it, telling you to buy boost for a server or some shit.
It’s really different though. The politicians are expected to be working at the national capitol during normal sessions. While they are ‘campaigning’ in that they’ll be trying to score sound bites and such for the media, they’re not allowed to spend money on regular campaigning until the election season starts.
How many rallies for president haver been held already with the election still 166 days away? How much money spent? It’s utterly exhausting.
I dunno, with the American system you have like 2 year long campaigning cycle for president. There’s almost no break and it’s exhausting. In Canada when an election is called the campaign is only about 6 weeks give or take a week.
Also, if the government becomes dysfunctional, it can be dissolved and a new government elected. The US system doesn’t allow for that flexibility.

This was loaded in the winamp queue when you installed winamp. Take a listen.
The article did link the research article so you could have read it instead of jumped to conclusions. In this case fertility rates are being defined as rate of infertile couples, or couples who cannot conceive. Specifically, the worry is that the global sperm count is declining, and that the decline is accelerating.
Who knew that GeoGuessr was actually training people for a career in emergency services?
In the book series The Stormlight Archive, there is a character whose intelligence changes every day. He takes a test every morning to determine his capabilities for that day. As the ruler of a kingdom, he’s not allowed to do certain things if he’s too stupid, or sometimes even too smart that day.
I think a little test like that would be nice. If you have dementia but can pass a test every once in a while, ok maybe life is still worth living. I figure some days will be better than others. But if you can’t figure out some basic things for like a month straight, maybe it’s time to check out.
Preferably behind bars.
AI’s aren’t god’s.
Probably will happen soon.
Out of the 16 casualties, 2 were civilian. Seems like it was targeting military personnel.
It’s best before the amount of time it takes to do 349 Oh Long Johnsons.
Ah whoops. No wonder my Ctrl + F5 never seemed to do anything.
This meme will not age well.
I’m a bioinformatician. The problem with using bioinformatics software here is that the input or output data size is huge for most tasks, which makes submitting jobs off site much more difficult.
Bacterial genome assembly isn’t too bad though. I use Nanopore sequencing data and the input is usually on the order of a few gigabytes per task for an output file of a few megabytes. (pulling numbers outta my butt, but shouldn’t be too far off) But the multiplying this by 48 or 96 which is the number of samples out machine can run all at the same time and you’re getting into hundreds of gigabytes for input data. It’s just tough to manage this with cloud services.
But if you go simpler, you could offer a BLAST server. You just need to host your own database and accept queries. Not sure if you can split it into smaller tasks though. If you segment the main database your p-value results will change.
So on Liftoff, I find that if I interact with a deleted comment (up or down vote) the deleted content appears. Weird eh?
Technically it’s infinite, but that’s because of a stalemate. You can keep repeating the same moves over and over.
New Ryanair upcharge for the maggot free flying experience.
Yeah, actually I had never thought about the structure of the word either. Thanks for the great shower thought!
