Yeah buddy knife injuries far out weigh knife deaths too. It’s the severity of the deaths and injuries, and if you have intent to kill you’re going to kill more with a gun

If you’re hit in the torso, there’s a strong chance that you’re dead if you don’t get immediate care. Lungs, heart, liver, kidney, stomach, everything is in there. You don’t need to magically aim. And this isn’t a conversation of accuracy in automatic vs semi automatic. Thats a stupid strawman argument of bringing up something completely irrelevant. You’re being pedantic. There would be dozens more dead if the guy had a gun instead of a knife. And you’re a fool if you believe otherwise.
If you like deck builders and poker style card games this is an excellent imagination of the 2. Very fun.
Ew. Yeah that’s why I left. It was shocking how down voted into oblivion I was when someone literally in a comment thread after me shares a similar opinion and is positive.
What was the algorithm and why?
Yeah my account was about 15 years old. Reddit definitely decayed into worse and worse and I have no regrets leaving. But it did leave a little bit of a hole that’s yet to be properly filled. And lemmy is definitely doing a good job, just hasn’t filled it yet.
That’s helpful thank you. If I had a question for example for a specific video game you’d recommend going to the gaming community over the game specific one?
Lemmy is like 1/2 of what reddit was able to do for me. I haven’t gone back to reddit since the exodus, I deleted all my posts and my account and never went back. But even now when I need information on anything from a community it’s always reddit that pops up with the information that I need. I understand this is because of userbase and interacting with it but lemmy has not been able to do that effectively yet.
Granted I did post about a fish for my fishtank here and it was answered actually pretty quickly.
I think I’m just not understanding what instances and the feddiverse is. Most posts I’m interested in have like 1 or 2 comments, and half the time they’re not useful interactions. It just feels kind of dead here. And again I understand it’s because of the lack of interaction and userbase. But to say it’s better than reddit or the best alternative is being a little frivolous.
Every civilian pushed to the brink of trying to survive by defending themselves is considered a militant.
I joined back on the iPhone 4 using blue alien or whatever that app was called. Then been on reddit sync until the purge. I pretty much exclusively used reddit via a third party app. It hurt to delete all my content and delete my reddit account, but the sync author said he’s moving to lemmy so I just went along. Now I’m on lemmy with sync. The community is obviously much smaller, and there’s quite a specific kind of person here (looking at you Linux and star trek instances) but I can actually interact here. I never deleted my comments before, and still wouldn’t, but I don’t see myself instantly down voted into oblivion for not sharing a hive mind idea. I get to see more kinds of interaction here instead of having to sort by controversial. It’s nice.
If you agree that parenthesis go first then the equation becomes 8/2x4. Then it’s simply left to right because multiplication does not take precedence over division. What’s the nuanced talk? That M comes before D in PEMDAS?
Yeah I am thinking vanced. I think I struggled with getting revanced to work
Wait you got revanced working again? I couldn’t get it to work for my android phone since the last purge less than a year ago.
Yes. Yes that was. And very irrelevant to the topic at hand. What are you trying to do, get a moral compass of some guy on the internet? Then what, open discussion? This is baseless murder. Stop comparing and start raging at the injustice.
I’m not promoting genocide. That’s definitely a downside lol
What, pray you, is the nuanced downside to genocide?
Edit: lol I forgot the /s didn’t think it was necessary. Your wording was funny to say there’s a downside to all 3 like genocide is even an option
I did. And I did it exclusively because of reddit sync. I used that app to browse reddit during my decade plus old account. Once reddit sync left, the app maker said he’s moving to lemmy. I never even heard of lemmy until then. Now I’m here on sync.
Treason is a really powerful crime that carries heavy consequences. Bribery at peace should still carry consequences but in some cases (countries) treason alone carries a death penalty. Bribery during peace maybe shouldn’t carry such a steep penalty
This. I tried lemmy. Didn’t use it until sync came out. Now that lemmy is looking for engineers I’ll donate some money.
