This is the first seemingly realisitic news i’ve heard from western media, why is it getting downvoted?

Ever since russia failed to take kyiv early on, the only news i hear from our media is “russia failed, russia will be bankrupt in 3 months, russia losing 50k troops every week, mutiny in russian army, etc…” They made it sound like the war would be over in less than a year… But clearly russia is doing way better than previously reported over the past 3 years, otherwise the war would be over.

I spoke to a ukranian guy at work and even he says that western media is totally downplaying russia’s strength.

I could understand reporting this way (to boost morale) if we were directly involved in the war with troops…
