This sounds a lot more like “Elon thinks the HR dept is a waste of money” than “Elon hates immigrants”.
I don’t see why this couldn’t have been sorted out with a letter instead of a lawsuit.
They got a letter already with everyone else when the law got published. That’s the point at which you know you have to adhere to the law.

Based on some of the stories about Black workers hearing comments like “welcome to the plantation” when they started working at Tesla plants, this lawsuit absofuckinlutely does not surprise me.
