With the constant growth of our mod team and the demanding nature of actually having lives outside of niche internet communities, Ada and I have come to the decision that the mod team once again needs to expand.
Applications work the same way they did the last two mod calls:
Post a brief write-up on yourself and why you think we should give you moderator status, as well as a link to at least one other social media account. (reddit, twitter, instagram, facebook, mastodon, tumblr, bluesky are all accepted.) If you don’t want your alts to be public, you can send them as a private DM to me. Applications don’t have a fixed close date, but we’re looking for at least four new mods in multiple time zones.

I will be personally selecting all new additions to the mod team. Please be civil, and good luck!

    If you need someone to help in the central time zone, I can. I’ve modded a fairly large discord server where I had to deal with all kinds of unfathomably deranged content that I won’t describe here.

    I feel confident I could mod judiciously here and follow your style of modding, but I also have a history with some people here, so they might not feel comfortable with me modding, and I totally understand if that’s a problem.

    My tumblr is in my profile. It’s a fairly new account, but I’ve been on tumblr since maybe a year before dashcon, but that old account got banned for reasons I have honestly never been able to determine. I can share my signal or discord via DM, if you’d prefer that instead.

    I dont have any social media accounts more active than this one, but if you still need any more help I keep odd hours and am always available to remove obviously suspect comments. if you can see my reports and comments, thats about all I have as credentials go.

        Take into account the time it has taken me to respond, and the fact that I have absolutely zero prior experience, but if you do still need anything little extra, I’d love to help.

            Given the amount of time it has been? Yeah sure, lol

            I’m not gonna do much, but I’ve seen a couple cheap trolls in my time here, and it’d feel good to remove them myself rather than passing it on to someone else.

    Hi, if you still need more mods I would gladly help out!

    I primarily reside in the MST/MDT timezone, and spend a pretty good amount of time browsing here and the general fediverse (https://blahaj.land/@ty), so I would be able to give it my all when required. Unfortunately I don’t post much myself mainly due to a lack of creativity and just because most of the memes I have are from c/196 itself, though I really love the community that has developed here

    As for existing experience, I moderate/admin a (at present) 131626 member discord server surrounding a Minecraft mod (I can give you the invite and/or my username if you want), so I have experience dealing with people and helping resolve issues as fast as I can when needed. I have been doing staff-related roles in that server since December 1st 2020, so I am not very new to moderating online spaces :)

    Hi, I’m BST (GMT+1) and would like to take part. I have pretty good moderation experience, I’m Community Manager at Nucleoid, and have been moderating Minecraft servers on and off since 2019. I am also a moderator of the Alternative Nation community as well as CD collectors!
