The UI on the left isn’t labeled, so it’s hard to tell what any joke could be if you don’t know what it is

Sorry I don’t instantly recognize the UI from a 3500 dollar device made by a company I couldn’t give less of a shit about if I tried.

Tbh I’ve heard about the Vision Pro because I follow tech YouTubers and read a few articles, but I haven’t heard a single person who wasn’t part of the tech community on the Internet (or doing tiktoks about the vision pro) talk about it. Like, I’m certain that if I started talking about the Vision Pro with friends, family and colleagues, more than 90% of them would just say “WTF is a vision pro?” Ordinary people care as much about the vision pro as they cared about, for example, that 1000$ monitor stand Apple sold, which is to say they didn’t.

You live in an interesting bubble where Apple VR googles UI is something you are expected to know

The vision pro has been out for less than 2 months and every review pretty much only shows the outside and never the main menu.

The only ones “in the loop” of this level of detail of the vision pro would be only the most die hard Apple fans.

Here is the review from The Verge. None of the images show that menu screen. And it’s not alone. Here is a review from Are Technica, which is a well known pro-Apple site (it’s often nicknamed Apple Technica), and even they never show that image.

Not sure where you think not recognizing the vision pro menu would make most people “out of the loop”.

yo. i manage apple devices as part of my job, so i have to stay on the up-and-up of new stuff they make in case the company ever asks for them. sometimes that means 3hrs of day are spent watching apple demo videos (no complaints here, though. that’s an easy 3 hours!)
