Yeah, I go like that in my head as well… I can’t discipline him after I see that, I just go “god damn it… you win this time”… he always wins 😒.
I miss my ravenous lab, give him some pets from me. Ours managed to get on the table and eat half a turkey at Xmas.

He’s not that wild, but every once in a while, he’s like “oh boy, I gotta have that 😀”… and I just give in, like fine, here you go 😒. I’m only strict about things that may be bad for his well being, like running towards an open shaft or starting fights with other dogs. I think he gets it though, cuz he doesn’t do those things any more, or very rarely. But, I’m a softie when it comes to disciplining around the home, so it’s just empty threats from my side, and he knows it 🤷.
