Pressure has been building for a long while now, I’m surprised it has taken this long to boil over

I’m wondering how long it’s going to be until it’s at my door.

Depends on the interpretation. Do you interpret it as a threat? Or is it just a statement based on the context? Language is interesting like that. We can pick and choose the meaning of words to fit our own point of view.
So you ask the question because the meaning isn’t clear. If I clarify that it’s not, then you begin to consider another meaning by process of elimination. But if I don’t, then that initial choice of meaning solidifies and the question becomes a statement from your point of view.

Other people would have assumed directly it was a threat, reported me and possibly add some rather scathing remarks for good measure.

And that’s really the point of it, that there’s all kinds of people out in the world. Some are better, some are worse. Which side of the road do we walk when the worse start shooting? Or do we just stand aside and watch?

It’s not a matter of when trouble arrives at your door, because there is still a chance it never might. It’s more of a matter about you do to prevent it from reaching that far. How many neighbors can you save? And should you?
