It all basically reads like fan-fic already tbh. Or maybe like… How do I explain it… These look like documents Cosplaying as top-secret information. They are LARP-ing as top-secret documents. For an alternate timeline.

Steve from Gamers Nexus. Dude is like TotalBiscuit but for tech, not just gaming. Also, TotalBiscuit, if you are ok with adding those that have passed to the list…
Just out of curiosity, what is the first 2 doing in “2(2+2)”…? What are you doing with it? Possibly multiplying it with something else?
there isn’t any multiplication in this expression.
Interesting.
I really hope you aren’t actually a math teacher, because I feel bad for your students being taught so poorly by someone that barely has a middle school understanding of math. And for the record, I doubt anyone is going to accept links to your blog as proof that you are correct.
Please see this section of Wikipedia on the order of operations.
The “math” itself might not be ambiguous, but how we write it down absolutely can be. This is why you don’t see actual mathematicians arguing over which one of these calculators is correct - it is not either calculator being wrong, it is a poorly constructed equation.
As for order of operations, they are “meant to be” the same everywhere, but they are taught differently. US - PEMDAS vs UK - BODMAS (notice division and multiplication swapped places). Now, they will say they are both given equal priority, but you can’t actually do all of the multiplication and division at one time. Some are taught to simply work left to right, while others are taught to do multiplication first; but we are all taught to use parentheses correctly to eliminate ambiguity.
Okay, but what the heck do the colors mean??
It’s a really fun system, and there are some great tools out there to run a game. Been using path builder 2e for character sheets, and recently discovered their encounter tracker thing and it is the best I’ve used… See monster and player key stats (like hp ac and saves) or full Stat blocks, add conditions on the fly, even generate random encounters… It is truly an amazing tool for dms.
26% seems fine compared to many I’ve seen before.
Years ago I had a glass light cover shatter in the hall between my bed and toilet. Thought I got it all swept up. Two weeks later, a 2am half asleep piss trip ended in 10 minutes of digging a glass shard out of my foot and stopping the bleeding. I now wear something with a sole very nearly at all times.
I have tried out onshape and it is a pretty functional fusion replacement, but I really don’t like the idea that the models I make can be used (or even just sold) by others commercially. I’d be okay with it if the free version just gave all models made with it an open license that barred commercial use entirely, but banned for me and open for sale by others is pretty dirty imo.
I noticed a similar problem importing step files… I no longer had circles, I had nonagons… I would love to delete my windows vm that only exists for fusion 360.
This is just factually inaccurate corporate shill talk. In windows 10 I had to completely gut the Microsoft store using regedit to actually stop the ads that come directly from Microsoft. And then you can’t use the Xbox app (for access to game pass) which is basically the only reason I would want windows to start with (among other things it completely breaks) … And that’s a pc I built with a “clean” windows install.
When it “upgraded” itself to windows 11 despite opting out several times, and being bombarded with more ads and constant bs pop-ups, the last straw broke the camel’s back for me. Moved all my computers to Linux only and haven’t looked back.
It’s nice the EU is doing what it can to curb Microsoft’s invasive crap, but it also appears it only helps people in the EU and NA customers still get the bloated “OS” displaying more ads than an old geocities warez site.
This is the way. It’s an intentionally ambiguously written problem to cause this issue depending on how and where you learned order of operations to cause a fight.
I’m a big fan of steam and gog. Steam does better “out of the box” on Linux but you can generally get anything running just as well on gog with minor faffing about. But one thing gog has that I love is the ability to play an older version of the game. New updates breaking something or otherwise not what you wanted, on steam you don’t have a choice usually but the newest version, on gog you can just select an older version and play that.
This comment is gold.
It sounds like ya’ll are over cooking your eggs… At least for my taste.
El Conciserino, if you’re not into that whole ‘brevity’ thing, man.
Or zip line to your trunk and then drive it to the dumpster. Afraid to say I have in fact done this… Long rope one end tied to balcony support and the other on the support arm for the trunk then tied bags together in pairs and sent them down riding a wash cloth (i was worried friction would tear through the bags…). Then walk down and load it in the trunk, untie the car and drove it to the dumpsters like 1/4 mile away.
I did it in the middle of the night, less witnesses.
Problem here is the thread is focusing on a Texas y’all but then you throw a gob’ment in which is much more Georgia southern and it ruins the whole vibe right at the end. The voice in my head broke accent.
That’s true, but we are lazy Americans - if we can’t describe something with two syllables or a 4 letter acronym, we give up (or apparently come up with something racist to refer to it instead…)
For the record, I’m not arguing against your points or trying to defend the words use.
I don’t know who won, but I can tell you the American public lost. :(
